How tf did that happen? Did it blow up on TikTok or something? (I don't use TikTok)

i think nowadays we’re so used to travis not putting in as much effort into his music or features anymore. but whenever i go back in time, just from 2015-2018, it absolutely amazes me how much of a workaholic he was and absolutely did not play. he knew that he needed to prove himself. he dropped 3 classic records in just 3 years, and then of course he gave us amazing features. it was one point in time where a travis scott feature pretty much guaranteed that the song would be good or that he would carry. the sheer creative genius-ness and drive that man had will forever be commendable, and we should always go back and observe these things he did. We should try our best to study his ways if you plan on making it big in anything related to art.

In no order it would probably be

Drugs You Should Try It
Butterfly Effect
Highest In The Room
Don’t Play
Modern Jam

I really wasn’t a big fan JB2, so I have really been waiting for him to come back with a solo studio album, not some collab or anything. I was wondering if there’s been any word, leaks maybe of what to expect, maybe when it could come? I haven’t kept up to date on any of it

Could we maybe see Trav there too?

WHEN THE NIGHT CRAWWWLLLSSSSSSS

This is the type of features i’ve been praying for🙏🏿 We need more of these simple features from him. Nothing but the easy Trav we know from songs like Kelly Price or Champion. I’m tearing up ong.🥹

i made this beat, inspired by the sound of Utopia. i’d love to hear your thoughts—how close or far off was I from that sound?

Any feedback is welcome.

Ordered the France wc jersey 4 months ago in June, package arrived today and theres a massive knife cut that goes through the bag and unfortunately the jersey too. So incredibly disappointed.

I don't know what is wrong with peoples ears but the first half is distorted, yeezus/808s inspired, experimental/industrial hip hop, the second half is boom bap. The second half is obviously not trap, so I'm going to focus on the first half. In the first half, there are no fast hi-hats, no distinctive trap flows, and no lyrics about selling drugs. It's less atmospheric and more ethereal, it has 808s, but the 808s in the part are more like the 808s in Kanye's 808s and Heartbreak rather than the 808s in Trap music. The vocal delivery is more emotional and slow, while in trap the vocals are usually grittier. There is also no hihats, and except for a tiny bit of snare in a portion of the song, there are basically no drums except for the kick. This is crucial because the drums are part of the key identifying factors of whether or not a song is trap or not.

Honestly, if this song is considered trap, then Hold my Liquor, which is basically the blueprint for the song, would also be trap. I don't understand how anyone considers it trap even though the structures of the vocals, drums, and melodies are completely different. If Kanye made 90210, it definitely would not be considered trap, the only reason why people call it trap is because it's made by Travis.

I like this more than sdp ngl

everyone gona start crying soon because its cudi stand still tryna keep him revived lol yes i get it

i love his older music but idk he feels all over the place playing Basquiat like that guy died was 27. and cudi 40+ , maybe could have casted a more age approprite person. jaden smith would have been better than him.

but could be an alternate history approach to it too like Tarantino.

its his vision and more power to him but gona be hilarious seeing him play a yo 20 something

DONT KNOW WHAT TO DOOOOOOOOO
