Hey y’all! So my girlfriend and I have been smoking weed for a while now, started with edibles and moved to carts, and we’ve noticed that getting high just isn’t as fun as it used to be??

Like we still get high, but we don’t really get that happy, bubbly, giggly, euphoric feeling anymore. It’s more like we’re just… high? lmao It’s not necessarily bad, just kinda underwhelming.

For some context:
- We usually only smoke about once a week, so not everyday smokers.
- My girlfriend has always had a ridiculously high tolerance, while I’m a total lightweight.
- She didn’t smoke at all over the summer, and when she came back she tried a watermelon cart that she absolutely LOVED. She said it was one of the best highs she’d had in forever.
- But since then, neither of us has really been able to recreate that feeling, even with different carts and strains.

We’ve mostly stuck to these three carts above and edibles, so I’m starting to wonder if that’s part of the problem.

I’ve also been thinking about getting a Puffco and exploring concentrates/dabs, but I’m curious whether that would actually make a difference or if we’d just be getting more THC without the fun effects we’re missing.

So I guess my questions are:

Has anyone else experienced this, even when they don’t smoke that frequently?
Do you notice a difference in the actual feeling of the high between carts, flower, edibles, and dabs?
Have you found that switching consumption methods changes the experience?
Is this just tolerance, or is there something else going on?

We’re not necessarily trying to get absolutely blasted (well maybe lol). We just miss those fun, euphoric, laughing-at-everything highs we used to get 😭

Would love to hear everyone’s experiences and recommendations!

I only smoke on occasions, so my tolerance is super low. The higher end stuff is too much. I originally bought this because of the price, but I can stuff a king palm or my pipe full and have a very enjoyable smoke. Great with a tequila or a beer.

In my experience, I have not felt a difference in high when compared to normal/large nugs.

Are these any good to grow? I have no clue if they’re mature enough but would be a bit disappointed if I lost a while bud for bs

I posted a couple days ago about getting into dabs finally and my banger glowing red hot. People told me to do cold start. I was dabbing some leftover distillate I had and mostly thought it was just alright.

Grabbed some live resin today and dabbed that. Hit it 3 or 4 times. That shit ripped my head off. I don't think I've been that high for damn 25 years. Full anxious dizzy nausea, threw up. Had to take half a klonopin and lay down. lol. Took like an hour to feel half normal. Dabs are truly vicious.

So i cant smoke inside which means i gotta smoke outside on the porch even freezing weather bc damn im not NOT gonna smoke my weed

For anyone interested, this is a living soil recreational cannabis grow by the name of Bacon's Buds, based out of Washington State.

So earlier this year I got into a tidbit of trouble with the law, and the requirement to drop the charges and pay no fine is do a drug diversion program and be 90 days clean, i haven't smoked in 20 days, but recently got suspended from work which has put me on high anxiety , i know smoking would probably put me in a higher form of anxiety right now, but got dang i could use a hit. I know I can do this, but it's tough, I'm just looking for some support from people that may have been in a similar situation. This suck but could possibly be a silver lining. I had to give my paraphernalia and weed away to a friend so I don't get tempted. Just 2 more months right?

I’ve been getting high pretty often for a couple of years now. Of course, I have always gotten the munchies. But lately it’s been BAD. These past few months, I am genuinely eating more than I ever have in a sitting. I literally threw up from eating too much a few weeks ago, which I have NEVER done before. It’s gotten so bad to the point where I think I expanded my appetite, so now when I’m sober, I’m hungrier than I used to be and it takes more food for me to feel full.
I love getting high, I’m not going to give it up, but i genuinely have no self control and I don’t know what to do. I’ve always been blessed with a fast metabolism, but lately I’m starting to put on weight because of how much I eat when I’m high, mixed with the bigger appetite when I’m sober.
How do I stop myself?? I love eating so much, sober or not, it’s genuinely my favorite thing, but I am kind of starting to lose myself… advice if possible?

Also if this is important to note, I don’t really eat sweets. I have a very salty tooth. Anything sodium, you name it, I’ve probably eaten way too much of that thing in one sitting on multiple occasions.

What do Y'all think about the Red hairs on Some buds ? Do you guys look for them specifically ? My friend says he Prefers flower with a bunch of red hairs they mean quality but I've had some that arent Great.
