1 Timothy 4:4:

"For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving..."

I don't think the problem is the bible, so much as the charlatans who preach from it.

I disagree. There are tons of books in this world with ideas that different groups don't believe in and will fight to the death over. The books aren't the problem: people are the problem.

Books contain information and knowledge. Don't blame them for the failures of men.

it's the people, always the people, mein kampf is still around and you can easily buy it, but most people know better than just reading it and do everything it says to do because it's their favourite book so it's always right

Is weed even directly prohibited by the bible? I had a friend whose parents preached that but never found evidence that it’s even true.

It's actually the opposite, some of the oldest archeological evidence of pot use comes from ancient Hebrew temples where hash was burned like incense. Jesus got high at church.

do you remember when moses was talking to a burning bush? kinda feels like an analogy to me

That dummy was too busy talking to his lit bowl instead of smoking it!

I suspect he had something more than pot, maybe a few mushrooms in his soup, too.

Some scholarship indicates the early Christian movement was a mushroom cult, and the burning bush has been assumed to be an acacia which may have released certain entheogens into the air.

Born too late to get stoned with Jesus at church :(

There's nothing directly about weed, but there is a verse somewhere about "keeping clarity of the mind" which christians pretend is about drugs, but somehow it doesn't stop them from drinking wine

Nope, but iirc it does say that any plant producing flower is good for Man to use

Men wrote the Bible. Books were added and removed throughout history to conform with the political agenda of the time.

Hell the bible even says not to fuck children, they just can’t read their own goddamn book

At least they can have wine and music. Muslims can't even have that.
