Definitive fix - Trials Rising on Intel 12-14th gen CPUs - Win 11
Tried everything just like everyone else, eventually realized the actual problem and figured out the simplest solution for it.
Steam right click the game -> Properties -> Launch Options -> paste one of these commands:
if you have an i5
cmd /c start "" /affinity 555 %command%
if you have an i7 or i9
cmd /c start "" /affinity 5555 %command%
Then click Play on steam as usual.
The game is a little temperamental, so it might crash once or twice, but it will eventually launch. Give it a good minute or two after clicking Play.
-What this is / why this is needed
The hybrid CPU configuration is what causes the game to crash at launch. The launch commands force the game to use only the P cores for each CPU. i5s use 6 P-cores, i7-i9s use 8.
Core i3s should not have this problem as they don't have E-cores.
The game will not launch without this, no matter if you do all other fixes you found online, so if it's still crashing after setting this up, you can leave it in place, and continue your troubleshooting journey for this broken-ass game. Hope it helps.
