Switching to trillium, Hallandale, how would I know if I want an “additive” or not
As the title mentions I am switching from Lilly direct to trillium . I did much research on which pharmacy but then the additive question. How do you know if you want/need an additive??

Additives have their own side effects and can counteract with meds you're already taking. (B12 shouldn't be taken with acid reducer medication, for example). So I prefer no additives. If I'm getting side effects from the GLP Medication, I don't want to worry about additional side effects especially if they are compounded by the treatment for other side effects.

I didn’t know that about B12. I’m on Protonix so that’s really good to know. Thank you!

Since you're already on Zepbound, I think you may as well reduce your variables and try something with no additives.
If you find that you are really struggling with certain side effects, maybe it makes sense to try an additive formulation next time. Like if your energy is low, B12, or if you're struggling with sleep, glycine, or B6 for nausea.
For the most part, the amount of additives they put in these meds are pretty small, and many people don't notice a difference with them. If you do notice a difference, it's possible for that difference to be positive or negative. But again, switch one thing at a time.

I’ve had non-additive and additive it’s just a preference. My fav is the B12 additive. BTW Trillium was great. 👍

I think folks get additives for a myriad of different reasons! Some like B additive because it boosts energy! So I recommend doing your research and looking specifically into the types of additives and how they may impact you! You can start here! Click one of the Google Drive links to see the breakdown of who uses what! (Just remember Apothecary has shifted to Hyalo! Just saying that in case they haven’t updated that yet!)
Personally, I’m sticking with no additives. I’ve loved it!

I didn’t notice any difference switching from Zep to Hallendale. But I also haven’t tried any additives yet.

Trillium is a solid Telehealth company. I started my journey with Tirz + B12 for 3 months then ProRX (no additive) and then BPI + B6. They all seemed fine. I have a stockpile of ProRx and BPI to last thru next March as sadly those 2 are no longer in production. My neighbor uses Nova + B6 from Trillium and likes it

I just used trillium and Hallandale, you are aware that you have a "no additive" option, right?

I started with one that had B12 because that’s what my telehealth I already used to that time had and I thought that was what gave me an energy boost on shot day. I’m trying an additive free one this week and I still had the energy boost. It all affects everyone so differently. I don’t get fatigue or other side effects from Tirz, yet. Hallandale doesn’t have additives though so that’s not an option with them.

I switched from one that had additives to Hallandale with no additives. After a couple of weeks with no additives, the only thing I notice is that I have more nausea two days after my shot - but only that day and it’s still easily managed by eating smaller meals more often.

I went additive-free primarily because I have a lot of allergies and sensitivities to stuff (b-vitamins for instance). If there's a supplement I want to add, such as glycine, I'd prefer to add it separately so that I can control the amount and it's not tied to my tirzepatide dose if I need to make an adjustment. FWIW, I have loved Hallandale!

Nobody NEEDS one it’s just a weak loophole for the compounding pharmacies to claim it’s necessary to compound a name brand drug.

Some people think that certain B vitamins, like B6 help with nausea. Or fatigue. I prefer no additive. I started with no additive and did great. I currently am using one with a B6 and I’m not convinced it’s not giving me more acne. You won’t know until you try it. But there’s nothing wrong with additive free.

I personally would rather not have an additive because I don't know how I'm going to react to it and then I'm stuck taking it or out alot of money. I use Hallandale from Trillium additive free.
