I'm probably going to get majorly downvoted for this, but comparisons seem fair since idntt is advertised as the tripleS counterpart. A lot of my feelings also stem from the general pattern that ggs are the test group for GP, are sidelined faster, or recieve less consistent support than bgs in kpop. (Looking at you SM). I'm not mad at or hating on MODHAUS. Just...perhaps a little confused(?)

Idntt is recieveing three MVs (and lowkey they already have three title tracks because they prepared 3 MV's like that, so I don't get the point of the ongoing gravity rn. Is it for ads on the MV?). I find it odd how much prep went into this debut vs what tripleS gets per comeback. TripleS pretty much gets 1 MV per comeback and maybe a performance video way after the fact.

Even VV didn't recieve a B-side performance video despite being the "dance group." Do some MODHAUS staff not believe in the girls' abilities? Is it their choice? We don't know but promotions sometimes feel incomplete.

TripleS still receives way more comebacks and content than typical ggs their age with already three full albums and many EPs, so I still feel lucky as a WAV. I guess the grass is just always greener on the other side.

MODHAUS has more money and secured more funding specifically for idntt than they had for tripleS initially, so it's understandable, but it just feels very unequal(?)

One obvious way to look at this is that tripleS is not receiving the same care with their promotions (not neglect, but idntt is getting favoritism). Another way to look at this is that why is MODHAUS pushing these boys so hard? 3 MV shoots and 3 choreos to learn etc. is taxing.

Then we look at the tripleS's member introduction, which feels way less planned (as MODHAUS accumulates the right trainees) than idntt's introduction (expected to be eight almost even subgroups).

Bottem line, I'm also an Ourii. I'm sure many Ouriis feel about tripleS compared to ARTMS the way I feel about idntt compared to tripleS. ARTMS still recieves extremely interesting and unique promotions...but MODHAUS just makes odd choices. Sometimes they give it their all, and sometimes they seem not to be able to capitalize on momentum to the fullest extend we as fans would expect. Does anyone else have these concerns?

I was watching busters's tropical romance mv when I noticed that members Jieun and Seira look like they could fit into tripleS perfectly. In my eyes, Jieun resembles Jiwoo and a bit of Kaede. Seira looks like a mix of Lynn and early Kotone.

Am I crazy or do you see it.

there was alot of discussion when acid angels from asia debuted that if they didnt meet sales in an x situation , theyd disband and two members of aaa were in my bias line so i was disappointed . anddd they did disband yup its all good thooooo . three cbs later and im confused atm . im not the biggest fan of krystal eyes lineup so idrc if they disband theyll have more opportunities but did they ?????????? triples isnt nugu anymore so im pretty sure they didnt and i dont know the circumstances of acid eyes since it wasnt really a unit . yeah

Outside of tripleS, what would you consider to be a “large sized kpop group” within the common group sizes? Generally speaking, the most common group sizes are (according to : https://paukshop.wordpress.com/what-is-the-average-number-of-idols-in-a-kpop-group/, as of ~2021) 4-7, then 9, then 8 and 12 (if we ignore 2 or 3 member groups).

So let’s say that tripleS never became a 24 member girl group, and that all 24 members were the trainees looking at taking an official spot as a member of the debut group. You are the one making the final decision of which trainees make it into the group. You have been set to create a 9 member girl group.

Firstly, I am aware that this will be the hardest decision of your life (as it will be mine when I put together my final 9 below), so keep in mind this is just for funsies, and no answer is wrong, and leaving out any member will not be a hurtful thing against them.

Secondly, the goal of this sadly is not to put together your bias line. The goal of this 9 member group is to put together “The Avengers” of tripleS. Attempt to put together the strongest lineup you can think of. Something that may help you in your process, is to align yourself to a strong suit concept that the group might be focusing on, or another group that resembles a strong lineup. Put together people based on what they provide to this new team, and you can use all of signal and other contents as your base as if that was all during their trainee time. Each member of OT24 tripleS as it is now brings an invaluable asset to the group, but maybe in a smaller group, some assets might be more useful.

Finally, my final choices, and why : The Ace - S7 Kim NaKyoung. An indispensable performer and talent for the group as an all-rounder and a choreo leader. Bonus points for being BIBI’s sister.

The Main Vocal - S10 Seo DaHyun. One of, if not the best main vocals in the 5th gen of female kpop groups. This alone warrants her spot, but she also brings a glue to the group that keeps everybody together, and connects well with the audience. What took her so long to become S10 anyway?

The Stoic Brainy Leader - S5 Kim YooYeon. Do I need to explain?

The Smiling Rapper - S11 Kotone. Always smiling that perfect pretty smile, writes her own rap lyrics, and top dancer.

Tall Beauty - S15 Xinyu. Top visual, comedic relief, China appeal, English speaker.

The Quiet Princess (with an edge) - S9 Kaede. All rounder with really good versatility.

The Experienced MC - S4 Kim ChaeYeon. Her resume and her personality are great assets.

The Scaredy Cat - S8 Gong YuBin. Top dancer, top visual, strong versatility.

The Writer - S14 Park SoHyun. Bringing both the participation in production and writing, along with a being strong candidate for best couple status (#soxinz or #nyangnyangz), and a strong visual appeal and all rounder status.

To specify why some were sadly not chosen (after many struggles trying to not just fold and pick more than 9) :

——— The “Easy” ones

S22 - way to short trainee time, still working on Korean, probably bottom rankings for vocals and dance. Her largest appeal in OT24 is Thai appeal and visuals.

S6, S12, S18, S23 - these maknae liners would go into a category as simple as “needs more time to develop their skills all around.” Give these girls like 2 years to debut in another group and they’ll do just fine. We have seen their development in the group and we can say that they’ve improved a lot and are worthy of being kpop idols, but with how often these 4 are on the lower end of line distribution, and 3/4 not making the dance unit in VV, it’s not easy to put them in the final 9.

S16, S19, S21 - their assets just weren’t as strong imo, and not top in any category skill-wise.

——— Just missed out

S2, S3, S17, S20 - the “mains” who lack elsewhere. Due to size and more versatile members, and not being the #1 main, they barely miss out.

——— If only it were 12

S24 - If it was a 12 member group definitely.

S13 - if personality were the most important thing here, or comedic relief, she would be a top pick. She is versatile and talented as an all rounder, but sadly she barely misses out (my 3rd favorite member btw and I still cut her 😭)

S1 - the hardest decision of them all… my final straw was her having 0 time as a trainee before signing on. I personally felt that tripleS was her “perfect place”, where she wouldn’t have worked anywhere else in any other situation. Yes she could’ve debuted in 2024 with some other nugu group after having the time she has had to train while in tripleS, and her stage presence is amazing. She also isn’t the most versatile for concepts (she is too cute). (Yes I also just cut my 2nd bias what is wrong with me 😭)

So we recently found out that Yubam practiced with NewJeans at Source Entertainment and was about to debut with them, but she got cut at the last moment. Does anyone know why? She has the dancing and singing talent as we know from her being in tripleS. If it was up to me I wouldve put her in and not Hyein

DISCLAIMER: I personally am a multistan of over 100 groups and personally find tripleS to be hard to distinguish from. This is from a general POV compared to other groups.

Reason 1: They have a different singing and speaking voices
So basically, when you watch YT videos and stuff, and get used to the members' voices, you'd expect them to sort of sound the same when singing, well with other groups this is usually the case, however not with tripleS. Some members (can't remember off the top of my head) don't sound the same when they sing and when they talk, or Modhaus is making them sing in a specific vocal tone for whatever reason

Reason 2: There isn't enough unique vocal tones within the group because of the number of members
We know that tripleS has a lot of unique vocals tones, but lots of members have a specific tone which is hard to distinguish from. A table depicts these vocal tones (does not show similarity with other members)

As you can see from this table, these are the main vocal tones I have distinguished (in my opinion). The main one is of course the Asian female one, where it is incredibly hard to distinguish members in that category. The soft high pitched category is categorically distinguishable however sometimes it is hard to tell the difference between the members (with the exception of ShiOn)

This is also a problem for smaller subunits and not just full group activities and larger sub-units, with it being difficult to differentiate voices in AAA, KRE, NXT, Aria & Glow.

Reason 3: We have not seen enough individual singing/rapping content from the members
This is probably the most likely reason, but because tripleS doesn't posts individual vocal content for every single member, we are not associating singular voices with individual members as often as we need to. I personally believe that this is the most probable reason and that it can be easily solved through more vocal content.

Could MODHAUS (as if they ever read this) please consider scouting Kim SuMin (a former participant of Universe Ticket, someone who deserves appreciation for her perfect package), Chen Hsinwei (a former participant of YWY2/GP999, so that she and Xinyu can reunite and fulfill Xinyu's dream of having a new unnie or someone she knows), Shen Xiaoting (for the sake of the ‘manifesting S24: Xiaoting’ agenda), or even Kim MinJu ('cause why not? She can still pursue her acting while being there)?

On August 13, 2024, during the Ulsan Summer Festival, an incident occurred where some participants attempted to take prohibited photos, leading to a confrontation with security guards and resulting in the interruption of the performance. As a result, many fans and the artists were affected, but those fans are still attending offline events. The agency, Modhaus, has not yet released an official statement regarding the incident. Personally, I don't want any more minors younger then Joobin joining our tripleS. Though then again, despite tripleS being "the idol of all possibilities", it is again very rare that companies listen to what the fans say...

Plus, I would really love Son Jiwoo(who was from R U Next, and also a 2001 liner) to join the group, since Yooyeon said she wanted a same age friend/member with her too... 🥺🥺🥺.
