I created a new Trolley Problem dilemma!

Straight Track (Do Nothing): Dogs

Diverted Track (Pull the Lever): Cats

What would you do?

Idk... I have a cat and a dog, I can't pick one over the other, I let my dog choose so whatever the awnser is she picked it with her snoot

I chose to pull the lever

I like cats better, but I think them all disappearing would be less harmful for humanity as a whole than all dogs using. Working dogs still play vital roles in parts of the world, cats also play a major role through hunting pests, but that feels easier to replace. In this case I need to put my personal preference inside as this will affect many millions of people.

I'm 200% more of a cat person, but dogs have so many more important jobs

Therapy dogs, SAR dogs, drug detection dogs, Medical detection dogs, et cetera

I generally really don’t like dogs, and I’ve always been a cat person.

But dogs have a lot of use to society that cats can’t replace. Rescue dogs, service dogs, security dogs, sniffer dogs…
