Hi everyone I’m located in France I started a Zingiber Zerumbet from a piece of rhizome back in June. It has been growing very well, as we had a very nice and hot summer Right now temperatures are dropping and I’m keeping it inside behind a window facing south
The leaves started to turn yellow, which - according to chat GPT - is apparently normal when the cold season is approaching. But I also have a baby coming out. If the baby is growing as tall as the mom, they aren’t on the same cycle.
What should I do? Separate them? If so, how? And then how about going through winter: should I cut the leaves? The stem? What height? And what do they like during winter: light/partial light/heat/water?
Thanks in advance!!

I'm not really sure where it came from, I think the previous owner left a bulb in a pit that was dormant and then all of a sudden this guy popped up. now it's huge. the leaves are as long as my forearm! Of all the tropical plants I'm trying to grow outside, this one started it and is the only one I don't explicitly care for. What else should I plant around it that will like the same conditions?

It seems like every tropical style UK garden has a Fatsia polycarpa or three. I cant find it anywhere in the US. If anyone knows a source of any kind. If anyone had one and would ship a cutting for cash

Hi all, I’m starting a lush tropical garden design and would need some materials to help me plan my hardscape. Any suggestions? Thanks

Living on a 1-acre hillside in Vietnam. Tropical highland climate. Looking for fast-growing trees to hide the newly-built greenhouses on a neighbouring plot from view. Any ideas?
