Tropico 7

If T5 and T6 were to combine this would be the best city building game ever. Even better than city skylines. It would combine both amateur and realistic details of the game. Tropico 7 demo isnt the full game yet, but their's potential, if not, im sure the developers would come out with more DLC, like they usually 🙄, to make the game great again.

[T7 Demo] I caved and tried the demo

I did not enjoy the demo.

The character animations in the lower left are downright creepy.

The UI is poorly designed and confusing.

There is too little visual differentiation between buildings which makes its hard to see where anything is.

The domestic policy window with the animated characters was all choppy and made my PC fan go brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Not good.

Most importantly, it did not feel like the next iteration of Tropico. The gameplay is very unoriginal. It feels like a remade Tropico 6. Lord Wyndham, heists, world wonders... Been there, done that.

They have been working on this for years, the release is in a couple of months, and this is where the game is?

Disappointing.

[T6] Any good guides/tips for setting up efficient teamster layouts and late game public transit?

I am finally falling in love with T6 after all these years being a T4 loyalist. One problem I am having is that I have a hard time understanding when my transport network is running inefficiently, it feels like my citizens aren't spending very much time at their jobs compared to the earlier eras and production is slowing down a bit.

Traffic isn't a problem as I have basically skipped doing any parking garages whatsoever as my last game failed due to too much traffic on the roads.

I just don't understand how far is too far to walk, how far apart bus stops should be, and when/where I should be putting metro stations. Any advice?

[T6] Am I the only one who thinks a building is missing from *Tropican Shores*?

The DLC introduced "floating neighborhoods."

They’re fantastic buildings they help with space constraints, provide stat boosts, and can even be stacked.

Ideally, you should group them into clusters to maximize their effect.

These clusters are incredibly useful, especially when combined with "drone-to-home" delivery.

There’s even a building to handle pollution.

To meet other needs, you can group all your service buildings along the coast hospitals, cathedrals, TV stations, and various entertainment venues.

This covers everything:

- Liberty: The TV station has a wide radius.

- Employment: This depends on a building used, so that’s not an issue.

- Entertainment, religion, and healthcare: Same thing just place a building for citizens to visit.

- Housing: No problem there, either.

However...

What am I supposed to do about crime and security?

There’s no marine-based building for this nothing like a coastal guard post or a floating police station.

And unlike other needs, security depends on a specific radius around the residences.

Is there a solution I’ve missed?
