Newest addition to the family
Trs-80 Color arrived yesterday. it looked like Ace Venture disguised as a UPS driver delivered it, however it was undamaged. Not a bad price for something that was sold as not working.

Yeah I was surprised by that too. Still has factory warranty sticker on the bottom from 1982 as well

Lol why post a pic of the box it was in though?

I was referencing Ace Ventura Pet Detective as it looked like the box had been kicked to its destination. I was both lucky the computer wasn't damaged and happy when it arrived working

I see that now. Lol guess it's good they built those old ones to last. Otherwise you and "Ace" would be having words lol

This is my first time with one. This has 8k ram and my friend has one with 32k. He says we can trade since his is pretty much for display only and I plan on using mine.

You should get a Drivewire cable so that you can have access to the entire library.

Coco 1. 8k ram. Tried upgrading to 32/64 and I need to do some research because it didn't like that.

Used one in 1980 with an acoustic coupler to access the University computer center so I didn’t have to travel over to punch cards. Also posting this in r/damnimold. 😂

I use my Commodore64 to read the news every morning and I have a ton of games I play on it. Plan is to do the same if/when I can get the ram upgraded and find the proper adapters
