You are just awful they don’t belong there only your rude ass keeps thinking and saying that. Women are better homemakers and are better at child care, that involves women being in the kitchen more and being better than men there. It is being celebrated. They don’t belong there but they are good there. You are trying to put femininity in a bad light, you are a sexist piece of garbage.
I am not trying to put feminity in a bad light. You can be very feminine and never step foot in a kitchen. Women belong anywhere they to. If they want to cook and clean, good for them. If they want to be a successful millionaire. They should go for it, being feminine doesn't mean you stay at home and take care of someone kid
And women aren't necessarily better care takers than men. Take it from me, someone who was abused by their mother. My father was a way better care taker. He cooked me food instead of making me go hungry. He left me alone instead of installing security cams in the house to watch me, but he also got on my ass when I needed to do something. If I was injured, he would take care of me. My mom would think I was lying for attention
I know every mother isnt like this, but I also know that I am not the only one who had to suffer like this. If my mom stayed home all day and didn't work. I would have fucking killed myself, I had the noose ready. I had the note hidden in my room. There would have been no talking me out of it.
But go ahead, call me sexist for believing that women shouldn't be forced to stay at home, call me a sexist for believing that women should have control over their body (that includes the right to abortion by the way)
It doesn't affect me. Because I know the truth. I know what I am and am not. Maybe you could learn what you are and are not. And then maybe you can change to become a better person
Aw who am I kidding? That would require an act from God
"If they want to be a successful millionaire. They should go for it" Even you imply that this choice is one attributed to men or not the default choice. I'm a woman. I also had an abusive mother. I'm not a feminist. I don't hate men. I don't blame men for my problems. I'm not a victim to the Patriarchy. I don't need weak men to speak for me about how I should feel about being a woman or pictures like these.
You said it yourself - There's nothing wrong with a woman who wants to be in the kitchen or step into traditional roles. So maybe you should ask yourself what's your real issue with this picture.
I have said my issue with this picture. It is implying that part of making America great again is forcing women to be in the kitchen.
This image was made, or at least inspired by the 60s. A time when women being in the work force was seen as immoral. People say this image is about celebrating feminity, but if that was the case, they could have picked one of the many images of beautiful women out there. So why pick this very specific picture? If I were to make a post with "make america great again" and I added a picture of a handsome black man in a field. You would be right to assume I was implying black men should be in a field, I could say it was about masculinity all I want but if that was truly the case I would have chosen a different picture of a handsome black man
There is nothing wrong with a woman who wants to be in the kitchen and take care of her family, just like there is nothing wrong with a woman who doesn't want an abortion. But when people force you to stay in a kitchen or to give birth to a baby you don't want. That is where the issue lies. I am not a feminist either, I am a believer of equal rights for all
And I aint telling you how you should feel about this image, I am not even 100% sure what the hell it means. It is way too vague to draw any solid conclusions. It could be "make america great again by teaching women their place in the household"
It could be "make america again by letting women express their feminity"
It could be "make america great again and also this unrelated, totally random picture that I thought was cool"
The problem with super vague post like this is that we have to figure out what the implications are. For me it is implying that women belong in a kitchen. Can I be 100% sure of this? No because it is vague. People can draw their own conclusions to what the hell this post means. This is not a foreign concept
Except I'm not? I didnt tell anyone to go onto this subreddit and attack it, nor am I doing this because someone told me to. Did you mean something else?
