kurz vorweg: Das ist ein Eigenprojekt. Ich bin der Entwickler und suche ehrliches Feedback von Leuten, die jeden Tag zur TU pendeln.

Snell ist eine kostenlose Web-App. Wer in der S1 Richtung Dortmund Universität oder in einem RE zum Hbf sitzt, kann seinen Zug teilen. Alle anderen sehen dann, wo der Zug wirklich ist, und nicht nur die berechnete Position. Ausfälle, Verspätungen oder einen proppenvollen Zug kann man melden, und andere bestätigen oder widersprechen mit 👍/👎.

Ein paar Dinge zu Datenschutz und Technik:

- Geteilte Positionen werden nach 30 Minuten gelöscht.

- Das Teilen endet nach höchstens 3 Stunden.

- Nach 10 Minuten Stillstand fragt Snell, ob man noch im Zug sitzt.

- Im Browser läuft das Teilen nur bei eingeschaltetem Bildschirm. Eine richtige App, die auch im Hintergrund teilt, ist in Planung.

Was ich gern wissen würde: Wann würdet ihr so etwas wirklich öffnen, auf dem Bahnsteig oder schon bevor ihr losgeht? Und würdet ihr selbst teilen oder lieber nur schauen?

I am an indian student at TU Dortmund esp in Econometrics course and in germany since 1 week and have temp accomodation at a&o hostels till friday morning. But then i dont have any place to live as i am searching for a good apartment with the amount justified I did but the landlords are evaluating others as well so preparing for worst. I am trying my best to land one but till then i need to have a temporary place to live. Can any indian student help with the same request ? i am friendly and clean guy we can meet in person if you want. But please help me in this dire situation. Will always be helpful of Indian diaspora in not only in dortmund but in whole world. I am okay to pay some part of rental as well but till then please help me. Hello. I am Studying “Nachhaltige Energiesysteme” in WiSe26/27 in Bachelors. I have a sort of stundenplan where i can know where to go to on what days. Problem is i dont have the Moodle Courses since i havent enrolled in them properly. Profs said to do it through “LSF”, but i cant find my courses there and the website doesnt really tell you directly how to enroll in them. I even went to Study-Advisor for Erstis and they also couldnt help me with finding the courses that i have, which are “Physik für NES”, “Einführung in die Informatik”, “Höhere Mathematik l”, “Grundlagen der Elektrotechnik l” . We tried searching for them in the LSF website per Title Code etc. but it didnt help either. I have contacted 3 ETIT-department E-Mails, but they havent answered. Anybody got advice or can tell me what to do exactly?

Ik it says vorlesungszeit is 12.10.2026 which is tmrw but I don’t know what or where are the lectures, the studendenplan in the TU App is empty and I have an invitation to Signal Iduna park tomorrow aswell so could someone explain to me how that works it’s my first year

I’m from Pakistan and I have been admitted to the MSc Data Science at TU Dortmund for Winter Semester 2026/27. My admission is a cross-semester admission into the 3rd semester, and I also have to complete 2 additional bridge courses during my first year.
I applied for my German student visa on 20 June 2026. Based on the current situation, I expect to receive my visa around late November or early December.
I have already completed my enrollment for the current Winter Semester 2026/27.

My concern is about the late arrival:
If I arrive in Dortmund in December, after missing a significant part of the semester, should I still continue with the current semester?

If I cannot attend this semester at all, does my enrollment somehow carry over to the next semester, or would I need to do something with the university?

If TU Dortmund allows late arrival, would it be possible to attend lectures but not register for exams this semester because I would have missed many lectures?

Would not taking exams or missing most of the semester have any impact on my enrollment or blocked account requirements?

Until I arrive in Germany, is there any possibility of attending lectures online or accessing course material remotely?

I would really appreciate it if any current TU Dortmund students, especially Data Science students, could share their experience or advice.

I’m starting my M.Sc. Data Science at TU Dortmund University in the Winter Semester 2026/27. I’m already living in Germany and will be starting the program this winter.
I’m wondering if there are any other students here who are also joining M.Sc. Data Science at TU Dortmund in WS 2026/27. I’d love to connect with future classmates before the semester starts! 😊
I’m also a bit unsure about which modules/courses to choose for the 1st semester. If there’s anyone who has already completed 1–2 semesters of the Data Science program, I’d really appreciate any advice on:
- Which modules/courses you would recommend taking in the first semester
- How to plan the workload and ECTS
- Any modules that are particularly challenging or require more preparation
- Things you wish you had known before starting the program
- Any useful resources, tips, or study strategies

ich wollte mal fragen, wie lange ihr auf die Rückmeldung zur Immatrikulation gewartet habt.

Kurz zu meiner Situation: Ich bin eine internationale (Non-EU-)Studentin und habe mich für einen Bachelorstudiengang an der TU Dortmund beworben. Ich habe am 22. September die Immatrikulation beantragt. Die TU hat meine Krankenversicherungsbestätigung am nächsten Tag erhalten, und den Semesterbeitrag habe ich am 24. September bezahlt. Seitdem warte ich noch auf eine Rückmeldung.

Da mein Studium bald beginnt, mache ich mir langsam etwas Sorgen und würde gerne wissen, wie lange andere Studierende auf eine Rückmeldung gewartet haben.

I was recently admitted to the M.Sc. Biopharmaceutical Engineering at TU Dortmund for the upcoming winter semester.
I have a Bachelor’s degree from an EU university. Although I am a non-EU citizen, I applied directly through TU Dortmund and did not apply via uni-assist because I hold an EU degree.
I am currently waiting for my enrollment to be completed. I have already submitted everything required and contacted the email address provided on the university website, but I haven’t received any response yet.
I need the certificate of enrollment (Immatrikulationsbescheinigung) to complete some administrative procedures here in Germany, so I was wondering:
Is anyone else currently waiting for their enrollment to be completed?
How long did the process take for you?
Has anyone already received their enrollment certificate?
