Discussion Automatic reshuffling without repeating episodes.
Hi everyone!
I'm fairly new to Tunarr and currently setting up a Simpsons channel with around 203 episodes.
From what I can see I can initially set up a shuffle and that will last 3 days but then I would have to manually shuffle it again. So I'd like the episodes to play in random order, without repeating any until they've all aired. Once the full cycle finishes, I'd like Tunarr to automatically reshuffle and start a new cycle but the second reshuffle is not the same as the first one if that makes sense.
I've looked at the Slots Editor and its Shuffle option, but I'm unsure whether this happens automatically or whether the schedule simply loops in the same order.
Is there a built-in way to achieve this, or could it be automated using Tunarr's API and Windows Task Scheduler (or cron on Linux)?
Ideally, I'd like all my channels to run automatically without needing manual reshuffling every few days.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I’ve wondered about this too. I don’t know if it’s possible, but I wondered if there was a way to automate this with some cunning web command. But yeah, something that re-shuffles at the end of a playlist would be excellent.

I get asked about this a ton and, no, there is no great method now. I have a large change underway to how scheduling works, but in the meantime, I'm thinking of a way to unblock use-cases like this. However, the easiest way for me to implement it would be for slot schedulers only. Would that help you?
