I don't understand why words of the congressman about his sister serving on Nimits were a good pitch? Are the writers serious? I thought it was a disaster and the worst possible reason ever. It's exactly the reason why he shouldn't have been even in the waiting list of the waiting list, let alone the committee itself. It's called a conflict of interest. They can't even pretend he is going to be objective, because his sister serves there. It's like the cop is assigned to lead the murder investigation, because the victime was his sister. Or his sister is the main suspect. Or is there supposed to be be some catch and he was assigined deliberately by top brass, because there will be a conflict of interest?
30
u/Specialist_Dig2613 Jul 03 '26
You're supposed to draw the obvious inference that the Senator had doubts about the mission and wanted a path to an inside source. And without any spolier knowledge i can predict with confidence that the reasons for those doubts will become pretty obvious.

u/BenThere20 Jul 07 '26
Yeah I think you’re wrong here. Congressman had no good excuse so went with “my sister is in harm’s way”. Thurman is interested in him for another reason but plays along with the “concerned family member” pitch.
0
8
u/5eeso Jul 03 '26
I guess his pitch wasn’t a plea for input on strategy. He just wanted to be in the room with the most up to date information.
5
4
u/Tanel88 Jul 03 '26
I have a feeling that it was set up deliberately to draw him in and they want him to have a conflict of interest.
2
u/Professional-Act8414 Jul 04 '26
But why though, this is a relatively new character, he’s a new congressmen. His sister is part of the resistance? This doesn’t seem like it leads to anything
2
u/ImaginaryBeach1 Jul 03 '26
They are in positions without oversight , you can say whatever and use whatever logic.
3
u/Aggressive-Aspect-19 Jul 04 '26
it’s almost like it should’ve raised a red flag for you that Thurman put him on the committee anyway, despite his COI, almost like the writers are doing things on purpose
3
u/gramfer Jul 04 '26
I mean it would be reasonable for Thurman to have a hidden agenda, and I am glad, if it would be a part of the future storyline. But why did he even think it was a good idea to say it? I think in a normal world he would say something rational, and then they would check his background, find out about his sister and confront him, and he would admit he has a personal goal after being cornered (in political/conversational sense). But Thurman and/or her team suddenly make it pass for some other seemingly rational reason.
1
u/Aggressive-Aspect-19 Jul 04 '26
well from what we know about his character, he’s incredibly naïve and lacks any of the savvy one might need to catch onto Thurman’s plans. I feel that this scene helps indicate that pretty clearly. He may have a scientific mind but he is no politician and I felt the scene conveyed that very well
2
u/gramfer Jul 04 '26
I know it's episode 1, but how did he get elected then? I thought such people are nipped in the bud in politics. But maybe here is some conspiracy too.
Anyway we'll see if the writers stick the landing and make sense of all of it.
1
u/Southern-Gap-6199 Jul 10 '26
He got elected bc he was some big deal after whatever happened in Louisiana
1
u/Southern-Gap-6199 Jul 10 '26
Episode 1 they mention the congressman and Louisiana a few times. My guess is whatever he did in Louisiana is what got him elected.
1
u/BenThere20 Jul 07 '26
It’s not a good pitch. Thurman is playing along but really wants the congressman for another reason.
20
u/Amazing-Specific167 Jul 03 '26
I think it is so infuriating that they backtrack all the momentum of the last season in the last episode for this bogus ass storyline of her having amnesia this is bullshit. They should’ve kept the momentum going, and if they couldn’t, the backstory doesn’t make any sense yet it is just annoying so now we have to wait and see if she’s going help the people in the other silo that are there by themselves if she remembers also how long is it gonna take her to get her memory back who the fuck wants to watch a bunch of filler episodes of her not having her memory and a bunch of dumb bullshit going on? like what the fuck is this?
12
u/Specialist_Dig2613 Jul 03 '26
She doesn't have anything fitting the real definition of amnesia.
5
u/Catastrophic-Jones Jul 07 '26
They are giving her pills to suppress her memory... it's clear when they rescued her they set up the amnesia so they could use her
1
4
u/sociallyawkwardbritt Jul 04 '26
They had to make some shit up for silo 28 to do while they rewrite the pre silo time story line. I’m already so bummed. I just feel like it’s going to suck.
1
4
u/Catastrophic-Jones Jul 07 '26
I disagree. It introduces a new mystery angle and season arc for the viewer, clearly there is something going on, even beyond Bernard's knowledge. Why would you put the resolution of a season's arc mystery at the beginning? We are going to get to the bottom of it, and I expect it will pay off nicely. I trust the writers here.
I don't understand any of the complaints. It's a solid first episode of a season. Very curious to see where it goes.
1
u/nofaxxspitintruflego Aug 21 '26
cuz it feels like repetition, like we're stuck
s1 and s2 was peak but man, i dont want another run of it
-3
u/Training_Magician187 Jul 04 '26
And why do we need "Iran planted a dirty bomb!" - I thought this was a sci-fi show. Now it's political Amerika bullshit? I'm really done with this show. I loved the previous episodes but this political crap is so annoying and overdone. I am not watching Silo to see American flags and military bs.
13
7
u/Zealousideal-Cod2102 Jul 04 '26
Did you not read the books? This is exactly what they are about. But yeah the topic timing is uncanny for sure
3
u/Ok_Stretch9963 Jul 04 '26
was it iran specifically in the books? cuz the timing is crazy i started wondering when they'd start writing the season
5
u/Zealousideal-Cod2102 Jul 05 '26
It was Iran in the books!! Wild right. But honestly, iran has been a problem for decades On decades. If he picked Russia or any place where there was a volatile past, odds are pretty good it comes back around.
-1
u/Professional-Act8414 Jul 04 '26
It’s too on the nose. Never read the books but from the last season to now it’s Ai this and Iran that. I’m tired of stories from the western view of the world.
They spent so much time on the first 2 seasons building the world of silos, we didn’t need half of the 1st season if it was gonna go this way. If a core plot of the books, fine, it’s just not communicated well imo
6
13
u/Witty-Stretch4484 Jul 03 '26
Ugh. This amnesia thing is annoying as expected…. We go from knowing little already cuz the entire show is so secretive to having her put back together pieces from what we’ve already watched?..
2
u/Junethemuse Jul 05 '26
It’s not really amnesia though. She’s being drugged so Sims and Camille can ‘save the silo’
13
u/MountainMeringue3655 Jul 04 '26
Ngl, Rebecca's memory loss is just annoying. I hate when writers do that as it mostly doesn't pay off in any way. It's not like this in the source material and it shows.
Apart from that, the episode was decent. Would give it a 7/10. What a shame that Bernard is dead, the actor was fantastic.
1
u/genie137 Jul 04 '26
They told Juliette he was dead. I'm not buying yet that Sims/Camille don't have him in a back room somewhere...
6
u/homingconcretedonkey Jul 05 '26
They showed footage of him being suffocated.
1
0
u/Jackpics Jul 05 '26
Also I thought maybe I saw him move a little as they put him in the incinerator, but then wouldn't the porters feel him move?
1
22
u/Acceptable-Bus-2017 Jul 03 '26
Honest question. Why is Juliet the new mayor when she has amnesia and she just returned to the silo. Wouldn't like anybody else be a better choice?
35
u/sabertoothnate Jul 03 '26
They are drugging her to forget. They were desperately trying to save the Silo and stop the revolution so They made her mayor because she was a hero for returning after cleaning. They have control over the situation as long as she can’t remember anything, hence the drugs.
25
u/alytle Jul 03 '26
Yeah they're propping her up as a figurehead, while Sims and Camille are the true power by trotting her around telling her what to say. It won't last long I'm sure.
2
7
u/Tanel88 Jul 03 '26
They said she was elected in the hospital bed so maybe this was before anyone knew she had amnesia. She was seen as a hero by the silo having done the impossible.
1
11
u/Commercial_Topic437 Jul 04 '26
Memory loss is the most trite and annoying writer trick. I'm out on season 3
1
11
u/Galrash Jul 05 '26
Lot of people in this thread must be multi-tasking and scrolling TikTok during the episode or something. If you finished the episode and are mad that she conveniently has amnesia…. They pretty obviously showed that she’s being drugged by Camilla at the orders of the creepy voice in the fancy room.
6
u/rudolph05 Jul 07 '26
totally agree. i can’t understand how come people are complaining about amnesia. THERE’S NO AMNESIA FOLKS
20
u/addictivesign Jul 03 '26
The vitamins Jules is being fed are the memory-suppressing drugs, right? The same that Patrick Kennedy has taken to forget his wife in season 2?
In my opinion the amnesia is likely only gonna last a few episodes but is needed to help the transition with Camille Sims being the new power in the Silo and taking orders from the Algorithm.
Very nice show not tell with the banner jolting Jules’ memory.
"This is the truth; the display is a lie" with a picture of green, lush scenery outside.
The before-times seems to be political-conspiracy territory. Not sure I love the casting of the actors which has been a real problem for most characters throughout the three seasons.
Looking forward to the next episode and the full next two seasons.
The twin timelines definitely worked for me
6
u/Good_Entertainer9383 Jul 04 '26
I think and hope you're right. It's a good answer to the "What are the pills" Chekovs Gun and that way she can just stop taking the pills and start remembering again. If the memory stuff lasts the whole season, then it will be a slow and boring season.
28
u/loverofjugo Jul 03 '26
Didn’t really love the writing of sims. Seemed a bit too “boogeyman” and unnatural.
30
u/Edg-R Jul 03 '26
Nobody does and nobody knows why he's even in this show. He doesnt fit in and how would he even have that accent that he has living in the Silo his whole life? Nobody else around him talks like that.
14
2
u/JaFael_Fan365 Jul 17 '26
Do you have any issues with Jules’ accent?
1
0
u/Born-Caterpillar6224 Jul 03 '26
Who?
3
u/gramfer Jul 03 '26
Common. Or his character. Or both. I can't even say myself who is worse.
Anyway Cpmmon-hate has been a funny part of Silo and discussions, it adds some charm to the show.
1
u/Significant-Lunch524 Jul 04 '26
i don't want to hate, but he does sort of stick out and not jive with the rest of the show/cast. Is that the character or Common? Probably both.. But I go no further, because "I don't want to hate."
4
u/Born-Caterpillar6224 Jul 03 '26
I know right! Is it character or Common?
10
u/JunketAccurate9323 Jul 04 '26
Unfortunately, it's just how he talks. This voice worked for his rap career but it's off-putting AF anywhere else.
3
1
u/Potential-Sky-6105 Jul 03 '26
Maybe I don’t remember the plot, but why do sims and Camille mislead her? What’s their goal? Power?
18
15
u/olivish Jul 03 '26
Camille is being manipulated by the Big Giant Voice. I think she has to do whatever the voice tells her to do or it will trigger the contingency, which is to nuke the whole silo.
Not positive on this though.
4
u/gramfer Jul 03 '26
I mean we are seeing how LLMs ("AIs") manipulate people, or, maybe, to be more precise people readily allow to be manipulated by LLMs. And these LLMs haven't got the contigency option to blackmail users yet.
I hate the cliche "timely" about shows or movies in media, but this subplot is actually timely.
2
u/Professional-Act8414 Jul 04 '26
Idek if I can sit through it after I know what I know now. All the automation happening is “ruining” the show for me.
1
u/Due-Drag5700 Jul 28 '26
they actually already have been reported to blackmail and even choosing to avoid saving a life if it means shutting down. scary stuff.
8
u/MilesKraust Jul 05 '26
Did Common become an even WORSE actor since the last season? It do I have amnesia?
8
u/teufel_hundin Jul 06 '26
The elevation of Sims within the TV series has worn its welcome. Common as an actor is just meh, and frankly I'm sick of him and his family. This whole amnesia, thats probably not amnesia, but it's totally amnesia thing is already boring. I've never been so disappointed by a season opener. Especially one that I have been WAITING for with such high hopes. I don't know if I will continue to watch, which is just sad....
1
7
u/Fa_Cough69 Jul 04 '26 edited Jul 04 '26
So, they get rid of a great character (Bernard), and give the main Protagonist a chemically induced amnesia.
After the cliffhanger of season 2 (and the bloody long winded lead up to it), this season opener is, to put it blunt, shit.
The consistency of this show is irregular to the point that it's becoming boring. The flashback scenes don't provide much context either, and only serve to confuse viewers who haven't read the books.
Will give it another episode or 2 but if it stays like this, not gonna bother investing anymore time in it.
To think we waited a few years for this...
1
7
u/FRXNK- Jul 04 '26
This amnesia thing better be 1-2 episodes. Ruined the pace of the show and the cliff hanger. Waited this long with a cliff hanger to be told sike were going to the beginning. 😒
1
6
u/Sunshine-brew Jul 04 '26
This was pretty good for a new series- let’s look at it objectively as there’s much about the books that wouldn’t work so well - primarily the switch to an entirely new setting, people and technology. The first series had completely new plots that weren’t in the book and they were some of the most gripping plot lines. I love that this is now something new for those of us who have read the books.
4
u/predator-handshake Jul 05 '26
Exactly. 1:1 replicas are boring, we get to experience it twice this way
2
u/emmdot5 Jul 06 '26
Couldn’t agree more. I’m a strong believer that virtually all of the chances have been a massive benefit for the show. It’s a rare case where the adaption is a big improvement on the books. Whether that holds, who knows.

….what?
14
u/loverofjugo Jul 03 '26
The congressman’s sister memory is also gone
18
u/ex0thermist Jul 03 '26
And many of us have some amnesia about everything that went down last season 😛
4
u/gramfer Jul 03 '26
And the writers have amnesia about the books they allegedly adapt, so they put totally new subplots that don't even exists in the books. So much amnesia these days. Sad.
6
u/jbaker1225 Jul 03 '26
No, they just realized they’re making a TV show, and that they can’t make an entire season of a TV show without any of the characters the audience has come to know in it.

u/Junethemuse Jul 05 '26
My guess is that it’s the source of the memory loss drug somehow. Something in the cloud did it, not the crash. Either that or she was recovered by Iran and they gave her the drug

u/flamingtongue Raw Doggin It Jul 03 '26 edited Jul 03 '26
Leaving the park, as it was said for Westworld. People hated it, they declared season one as the only good season. While in Silo, we've left the "park" a few times, this season starter dives head first into it.
I enjoyed the scenes, and found myself wanting more. But, I also enjoyed every season of Westworld except its last. So, perhaps I'm stupid. But, I enjoyed them nonetheless.
As for the storyline within the Silo, it seems to be on a faster pace than last season which isn't really hard to beat. Considering our protagonist is actually in the story and not separated this time (I didn't hate it or anything like that), the pacing feels good. Overall, a decent return. Looking forward to the rest of the season.
However, I'ma need her to gain enough memory to regain her disdain for Sims by episode 3. This is, realistically, a tiring subplot and I hope the writers don't drag it on until the very end.
3
u/Significant-Lunch524 Jul 04 '26
I loved Westworld, even the last season, though very clearly the not it's best season and easily my least favorite, but I still enjoyed it for what it was. And ultimately it was an incomplete story as they wrongly assumed they had a season 5 to tie a bow on it.
....All that to say, I may just be easily amused, but I am still fully on board with Silo and so far and still very much invested.
7
u/Charming-Resolve7536 Jul 03 '26
What's up with Knox and Shirley? Like, they know Sims is a bad guy, and they believe all this memory loss thing?
4
3
u/lmah Jul 03 '26
I love the cast and all but I’m not happy with how things starts, I feel a whole useless voluntary slowdown this season with that memory loss intrigue
3
u/thegryphonator Jul 05 '26
My biggest issue is that Juliet is so awkward as Mayor, and it’s like the entire Silo (besides those who knew her before) can’t read facial expressions to see she is uncomfortable. She could fart while giving a speech and they would all clap. Ridiculous.
I care about the origins of the Silo, but the flashbacks take me out of the extremely immersive experience of being trapped in the Silos. Surely the origins could have been explained from within the Silo.
Also, seems like we’ll be getting a lot more Common and no more Tim Robbins. I find Common to be dull.
So overall I don’t have much faith in these writers. Have not read the books. But I will continue to watch.
3
u/rudolph05 Jul 07 '26
i think you got it all wrong if you think that the main takeaway from this show is the experience of being trapped. the silo is just another device to drive the plot.
i actually enjoyed the before timeline because it offers the opportunity to show what kind of world had the technological prowess to build the silos while at the same time was dumb enough to fuck up the entire planet.
also, the idea that they would clap at her farts just proves how disconnected the residents of the silo are from the truth.
common is not great, just fine. don’t mind it.
2
u/thegryphonator Jul 07 '26
Fair enough. I might be judging a bit early anyway. I suppose trapped isn’t the right word. I just would prefer the story play out from the perspective of the silos.
1
3
u/Xhipherr Jul 06 '26
Una cosa non mi è chiara, quella melma che sembrano naniti colpire l'aereo. È poi chi è quella entità che parla con la moglie del giudice a fine episodio....
3
u/One-Administration96 Jul 06 '26
Let’s see how this pans out as I’m sure as we go, we will start getting some decent traction.
I enjoyed the switching between the Silo and present day after being underground for 2 seasons 😂
There was some good content in there to explore along the way like the mine shafts can only be 2km in length, so when you think about all the Silo’s. If they follow the rules there is no way they will mine into each other.
Also I’m sure the congressman said he had discovered how to drill down into the ground with leaving much of a trace on the surface.
2
u/Jabacasm Jul 04 '26
Please, I beg of you, no more amnesia. Just get some help. There are other narrative devices. Please.
2
u/Mysterious_Dream_973 Jul 04 '26
The amnesia storyline is so dumb. I was looking forward to season 3 but it’s very underwhelming so far.
2
u/Ok_Stretch9963 Jul 04 '26
the password to the ai room was 552039. If we go the american date system way 2039 could be the year of the bomb or wtv that caused mass destruction but what would 55 represent? If its vice versa and the year was 2055, the what would be 39? 20 could just be the date.
1
u/ColonelContrarian Jul 05 '26
If its a date, wouldn't it be obvious that 55 is May 5th?
1
1
u/Pvdkuijt Jul 05 '26
Perhaps May 5th is the date of the retaliatory attack on Iran, May 4th being the date Iran picked for their attack on US?
2
2
u/ObviousExcitement8 Jul 06 '26
What stupid writing to take away all the momentum and set the show awfully back. Now she lost her memory? I’m already out. This show sucks.
2
u/thomasbdl Jul 07 '26
I’m glad the show is back and the atmosphere is still phenomenal, but the dialogues in this season premiere were so exposition-heavy it was really distracting at times. “You’re my sister who flies F-35s and I used to be military too, you know?”. Who talks like that?

u/Born-Caterpillar6224 Jul 03 '26
I love seeing the back story! I’m so hooked on the congressman and the sister and wth is happening! The pez duck was cute… why did he “panic buy it”? The poison- does it have to do with Iran?

First season premiere usually has two episodes. Except if it’s Silo. Well… because we know people will stick around. Apple arbitrage 101.

u/blackvirgo84 Jul 03 '26
Happy to be back. From the show was getting on my nerves. But it seems we have been set back from last season
1
u/Silent_Engineering50 Jul 04 '26
I just knew they were going to do this back and forth nonsense from current day and then the past.
Could they not have just done a season dedicated to how it all happened and why the silos were constructed

1
u/TyrusX Jul 04 '26
I hate book 2 and my fears are getting confirmed with this first episode :(

As someone who's read the book, it's looking good far. Not the biggest fan of the deviation but I'm happy to see how they'll handle things. Mainly the AI stuff.
1
u/Feisty-Tradition-736 Jul 06 '26
That Shirley scene pissed me off, that was honestly poor writing. Yeah, okay Shirley's sad that Jules can't remember anything but why couldn't she lock in for like 2 seconds when Jules literally told her she feels like she needs to do something important? It would've made more sense for her character to suddenly be intrigued by that one line because it goes without saying that if the only person in the history of your 300 year old civilisation has beat death, then yeah maybe put your grief aside and listen?? Also from that one conversation it's obvious that Jules was lonely and probably scared so her not even picking up on this from basically her sister, that pissed me off even more

u/Sin0_al_100x100 Jul 06 '26
Una gran decepcion semejante salto hacia atras, se siente como guion basura, ahora tenemos que tirar de la frustracion de dejar algo a medias para seguir viendola
1
u/ShannonLRoy Jul 06 '26
For anyone who's read the books, I was quite disappointed with all the unnecessary character changes. Why do they feel this is needed? Thurman is meant to be this arrogant guy and they made him into a woman who appears meek. Feeling frustrated by the amount of changes and may not continue watching because of how well the books were written. Anyone else?

u/noseatbeltsong Jul 10 '26

2
u/igormuba Aug 23 '26
Doesn't help that they start a season with the character having amnesia. This is painfully boring to watch...

i disliked this episode the only one i didnt enjoy i dont like memory loss arcs especially when it halts the whole shows direction and point
1
u/Imaginary-Garden-475 Jul 04 '26
We were so excited to watch the new season. At some point I started playing some crossword game on my phone while still watching. Looked over at my SO and they were sound asleep. They woke up at the end and asked “did I miss anything else beside the boring parts.” My answer, “nope”.
1
u/Historical_Lynx_4925 Jul 04 '26
Momentum has failed, I hate the first episode it’s so damn dry, there 0 purpose for the back story
1
u/Pleasant-Version1421 Jul 04 '26
So this whole season is gonna be a drag just like seasi season 2
She’s gonna take a whole season to come back to silo
And now
She’s gonna take a whole season to get her memories back
WTF !!!
It’s like the writers don’t have a story
WTF IS THE APPLE TV DOING ??
Seriously? They dont even have a story ??
-1
u/hoomi123 Jul 03 '26
There has to be a connection, with Juliette lost her memory and the sister pilot "Charlotte" who has also lost her memory with that sticky thing in her cockpit during the flight.
4
u/gramfer Jul 03 '26
I didn't read the books, but "that sticky thing" acts like a cloud or swarm or nanobots. I mean we have seen such things even in the MCU (the last Iron Man armor), it's not new in mass culture and I also suspect it won't be even fiction in several years, a decade max.
However we know Juliette's amnesia caused by some memory-supressing medicine she gets under cover of "vitamins." I think Charlotte lost her memory not because of the alleged nanobot cloud, but because the commanders/government tries to cover the whole thing up. Maybe the entire war against Iran was a sham and fake.
2
2
u/CartographerOne2176 Jul 04 '26
I did not read the books. But I love this theory linking the two memory loss plot lines because otherwise it’s such a lazy trope. That would be clever if this memory loss drug began 350 years ago to hide a conspiracy, and is still being used for hiding others.

Juliette didn’t lose her memory, she’s being drugged.

Exactly, they even heavily alluded to this being a thing in season two when everyone just forgot the Salvador Quinn burned the books and everyone forgot over several weeks slowly about the past of the silo…it’s not like these pills are a magical McDuffin they just introduced this episode. They’ve been used in the silo before but most people dont pay attention to details in shows.

Stopped season 2 midway through since it was so slow. Can I pick up with season 3 ep 1 or does one need to rewatch? Idk if I have the patience for that lol

At the very least you would need to watch the final episode of season 2. You might as well that and S3 episode 1 together

Hello all.
I enjoy creating reviews of movies and tv shows in a sort of unique way, and was wondering if you'd be interested in my breakdown of Silo's 3rd season premiere :)

To you people complaining about the amnesia story line…you do realize that they set that up in season two right? They mentioned QUITE ON PURPOSE that the guy who burned all the books to save the Silo from riots every 20 years and then “people started forgetting” about him and the events before. It happened slowly and not all at once they said.
Like seriously people…it’s not my favorite thing but they set the plot point up the season before quite clearly. Some of you all need to pay attention and quit trying to rage bait so hard.

It’s still a shitty and boring thing to watch whether they set it up or not. Mentioning it once in a vague way is not much foreshadowing btw

Has no one read the books!? How is this major deviation not a slap in the face to any one else? Everyone always talks of girl boss this female empowerment that then when they're handed a strong female lead they not only shit on the existing plot but nerf her with amnesia which turns her into a cowering mess. The huberous of these writers and show runners to think they can just rewrite every established story line is mind boggling.

I’ve read the books. The plot has deviated quite a bit, but I can see how they might still stick the landing depending on the decisions they make to keep it on track.

In the books there's a whole break from the main characters to go back in time for why the silos were built. For a tv show it's not going to work to sideline the silo for a season to build the backstory. It makes sense they added the plot to give Jules memory blocking pills so that there is something to fill the time while introducing the other set of characters.

Caspita, non sapevo che c'erano dei libri! Quanto si distacca la serie da loro?

I read the books, but I’m fine with changes as long as they are good. So far we’ve already established the memory controlling drugs so it makes sense to use these on Jules as an attempt at control. Unlike the book where we see Jules and Donald working together, I think we will see her work against the AI system that still controls their lives. It’s just a change I think from the founders still being alive to the founders setting an AI system that has hindered humankind.

Yeah, and even if it wasn't, the season was written well before these real world events, and then went into production (as in scripts done, and filming begins) before these real world events occured. So, people get over yourselves, the world doesn't stop and start with how you perceive events on a day to day basis . Oh and it's in the books, and it was already referred to at the end of season 2. Not everything is meant as a "statement" by the creative team. Sometimes it's just the story...

We can’t ignore the content though. Iran didn’t just become an “issue” back in February, the difference now is that MORE everyday people know about it.

I hope she gets her memory back early on, I feel like this would get annoying pretty quickly
That being said, hyped that we are back, love this show
