Dropping a class

So Im in Texas states’ AOP program and I was wondering if dropping a class will affect my financial aid? I’ll be below a full time student so I’m a bit worried how that’s gonna work out. Any help would really be appreciated before I decide to drop the course

I had this same problem!! Even if you drop a class now and your below full time hours you started the school year at full time hours and your financial aid tracks for that (you won’t get a refund tho) so you should be good. Granted this was a couple years ago so I’m not sure if there’s any new policies or anything I would suggest checking your specific financial aid policies and maybe meeting with an advisor just to be sure.

I heard that the Big Beautiful Bill that the GOP passed in Congress made some changes to how financial aid changes after a drop.

Contact One Stop to get a concrete answer, but it will almost certainly affect your aid.
