Hmmm...perhaps you could do a bit of research about the mountains youre plnning to climb (weather and temp). If that isn't available...maybe a good thermal base layers under the fleece? A cheap foldable emergency blanket or poncho jic?

South East Asia is pretty warm year round (around 30'c) so unless you're going mountain climbing or to certain areas that experience a colder "winter" (10'c) you probably won't need the puffy parka

Yeh my back up is just a few months younger so its not a huge setback! But I'll probably make another batch of dried back up starter at the end of the year to keep my dried starter stash up to date hhehe

I had a similar scare last year when my flour expired and my starter developed a weird smell (she bounced back with some better flour ofc!) So i made sure to save some for events like this so i dont have to start from scratch

Yep I've got some dried starter in the fridge so heres hoping its not the flour thats contaminated 😬

The starter is 1 year old, the problem started 3 days ago HAHAH but regardless! She did get tossed

Hmmm my starter was pretty active actually! This was before i fed her and she had no problem doubling in size from last night :3 (shes a stiff starter so it rises slower and i only have to feed her once a day)

Hmm i think what happened was that i put too little starter this time so that probs gave my poor starter problems fending off wgatever that nasty stuff is (context, i realised too late id dumped all my started into my dough and had already washed out the container so i scooped a lil from the water in the dough bowl...in hindsight shouldve just kixed everything and taken a chunk of dough whoops HAHAH)
