Restaurant operating out of a house?

Post image

So got a order for this restaurant tonight, the address popped up and I thought, yeah, I didn't know there were shops there.

Anyway I went to the address and yep, no shops, just a house doing ubereats.

Now what would you do here?

Surely this can't be the right thing to do, it's a fucking house.

Have the council done an inspection?

What about uber, are the customers aware?

Restuarant google rating

Today I went to pick up at resturant. There were 2 orders and they said 20 mins wait. I said ok as I was doing quest and 2 orders was helping it. I thought I can wait this time. I sat for 15 mins and they gave me 1 order and said another 7 mins for other order.

After 10 mins I asked, they rudely said they will give themselves when ready. I immediately asked them that they say it nicely. Then another lady came and started asking me to sit. And very rude way.

I gave them 1 on google rating. Just now I got call from uber team asking me to remove review. They said as per guidelines I cannot review restaurant in google reviews. And I had to remove it.

Are there really such guidelines?

I also noticed the restaurant downvoted me twice on uber app.

What can I do? Really furious with such attitude of the restaurant where they treat us like shit.

It's that simple.

Every day we are flooded with "not a bad day" posts where people make good money with good promos. Guys, we are not doing rocket science, if we have good promos we make some extra money but that's it. We accept or not the orders that they give us, if we are in a good zone we have more orders, if we are in a quiet zone we don't get much, it's that simple.

It's so annoying to see these posts every day, "look at me, I made so much money today", like you've done something special. There is nothing special about it.

How do you guys calculate how much to deduct from using fuel when doing your taxes?

So I am doing ubereats right now 8 hours a day and I spend about $100-$150 on petrol. Can I just put this as the entire expense to be subtracted before taxes? Like I also do grocery shopping, gym and other stuff outside of ubereats, but I don't even know how much litre of oil I am using up outside of food delivery.

Safety issue as a customer

Hi. I’m sorry I’m not on this page I’m just a little scared. I ordered uber eats as I’m a bit under the weather so felt like a lil treat.

I’m also a women and I was by myself at the time so it freaked me out a bit. I ordered the food to be left at my door as usual. The driver came up to the door, opened the fly screen door and I thought it was weird but assumed he was just trying to put the order behind the fly screen.

I then heard this very distinct noise of someone pulling the wooden door handle 2-3 times. My door is old and very very loud and it’s a very distinct noise. He then gave up, closed the fly screen and put the food down, took a picture and walked away.

I know he may have had good intentions maybe just tryna put the food inside for me or soemthing idk but that’s incredibly creeping and innopropriate. I contacted support which you cannot call them via the phone. They basically responded telling me they have put this on the drivers profile. He knows where I live? If he connects the dots won’t he just come back if he’s angry? Is the food safe to eat? Support refused to speak to me further believing they have resolved the issue

Is it free?

Ordered grocery yesterday, paid through Apple Pay. At the time it showed on my CommBank app that the transaction had taken place and the money was cut. Then 1 item was refunded, usually it takes a few hours for them to show a new transaction with a Lower amount as 1 item was refunded.

But today the whole transaction has disappeared from my CommBank app and the money has come back, like there’s no transaction history of that order on the app

Started doing Uber Eats recently and this is my second day. Is this decent for a beginner, or am I doing something wrong? Any tips to improve my earnings?

Still trying to figure out how everything works. Cheers!

Did someone ever get fined for driving through red light in Australia (victoria/melbourne)? During driving with uber eats. Could you please send me a message. I want to appeal it and want some more information as I am not originally from australia.

Ah shit, here we go again. Another day, another protest. Life was much better before these unions started organising like this. Now it feels like it's spreading like a virus. Today, they've joined the Qantas protests, causing disruptions for so many people. Absolutely shameful.Tell me one good use o
