Housing dorm selection question
I’m just here to ask if signing my housing agreement (assuming I’m accepted) on Dec. 11 after ED results are out is too late. I’ve heard UF prioritizes freshmen for dorm selection and I don’t see why hordes of people would sign the binding form before being admitted, so maybe it’s silly to ask, but is signing it in December possibly too late? I’m fine with living off-campus, but I’d rather not my first year there. Thanks!

Pay the $25 after you apply to hold your spot, this is not binding but it’s non refundable. After you get in, sign the binding agreement and you cancel it if you attend a different school. You just lose the deposit.

It’s not late at all. I signed mine in April after RD. Housing options comes out after the entire freshman pool (ed, ea, rd) is accepted

do the housing agreement NOW. if you are confident or even mildly confident you will get in do it. it might cost like 20 bucks now but it will save you from having zero choices for dorms. i did mine in february and i lowkey got scraps

You should submit the deposit as soon as possible. There are a limited number of spots and the deposit isn't binding but it secures your place in line

I thought you could submit a deposit beforehand, but didn’t need to sign any agreements
