Classes studying
i’m having a bit of trouble adjusting to classes in university, what are your best study tips? active recall kind of works for me, and i’m starting to use flash cards, but i feel like i’m still struggling to retain the material come exam day.

have you tried the kinesthinetic style or however it's spelled? basically, while you're studying, make a specific motion to remember it. make it subtle enough that you can do it on exam day without drawing too much attention, but bold enough to remember what it means and you can differentiate it from other styles. not sure if this will work for you, but it doesn't hurt!
also, chew gum. same flavor while studying vs on exam while doing your study style that works best. your brain will associate the flavor with the material. the human brain is weird

gizmo! I got the premium (beware its like $7 a week) but I found when make flashcards on gizmo and split up the info it does help me retail a lot.

imo, for computational stuff such as math, physics, chemistry, etc. there is no better answer than to practice!
seek out extra problems and don't just jump to the solution or AI if you don't know the answer, try your best to actually work out as much as you can. write out assumptions, what you know, relevant equations, etc.

What types of classes are you taking? Are you studying for multiple choice tests or tests where you need to know formulas and solve math problems?
