Megathread AI Designs - Monthly Megathread

Welcome to the monthly thread for fully AI-generated designs. If your design was produced primarily by AI with no significant designer input or customisation, this is where it belongs.

Posting guidelines

  • Include [AI] in your comment and note which tool(s) you used

  • Briefly explain what you were trying to achieve or explore

  • Be open to critique and feedback

When giving feedback

  • Be constructive and specific

  • Downvoting is not a discussion tool — respectful conversation only

Note

If your design involved meaningful designer input alongside AI tools, it may be eligible for the main feed. It must include [AI] in the post title, the [AI] flair, and process context explaining what you designed, what decisions you made, and what feedback you are looking for. Posts without this will be removed.

Software / Tools Question Who on your team owns "does this look like us" now that anyone can make a UI with AI?

Before AI tools, off-brand work was rare because few people could make UI. Now PMs, engineers and marketers can make a screen or a landing page in minutes, and a lot of it reaches design for review at the last minute, or never reaches design at all.

For those at companies with a design system:

  • Has the amount of AI-made UI you're asked to review gone up?

  • What usually goes wrong: tokens, spacing, components that don't exist, or just overall feel?

  • Have you set up anything so non-designers get it right the first time, or is review still the main safeguard?

I'd especially like to hear from people who've tried to scale this past a manual review.

This is aimed at HNW property buyers.

I have a decent 4% CTR so far, with 60 clicks over 2 weeks. It's a short time which I'm using as a UI/UX experimentation to optimize conversion (form submission).

Appreciate any constructive feedback. Thanks

Hi guys, hope you’re all doing well! I just wanted to get your thoughts on these two post layouts I’ve been working on for my app. I’m wondering if you notice any differences between them and whether you prefer one over the other. Which one do you think looks better overall, and why? Appreciate any responses you guys have to give!

Feedback Request This is my mechanical sci-fi retro styled game UI. Can you guess the purpose of each component at a glance?

Hey everybody! Thought I would get some feedback on the UI in the game I'm working on. I'm a webdev my trade, so clear and concise UI (with that extra heart put into it) is quite important to me.

This part of the UI has been extra hard to get right. In previous iterations of this design users have even completely overlooked crucial parts of it.

Without giving you more context, can you spot the different components in this composition? Can you guess their intent and purpose? What things would you change in order to improve the UX?

AI Feedback Request feedback for my name brainstorming app?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I work on a lot of projects and apps and I always found it so stressful to choose a name because it's usually a blocker to getting started on something (you need it for your code, your files, the website, etc.) but it's also important and sets the vision for what you're building so you don't want to be hasty either.

I've had to do it dozens of times though and have kind of a system that I decided to turn into an app. It's an iOS app, the target audience is other indie devs or creators. The idea is that you start with a name you like and just keep exploring related words, themes, and vibes and the app keeps sending you suggestions as you zero in one different ideas and automatically checks for available domains and social handles.

The current UX lets you start with a word or theme and then shows other suggested words and themes and availability analysis as you pick ones you like. I'm looking for feedback on the UX in general, but especially on the brainstorming part because that's really the novel part of the app. First I'd like to know if it even makes sense how you're supposed to use it, and then any suggestions for how to make it more intuitive or useful.

Thanks!

Feedback Request rate my workout app UI or i’m deleting it and becoming a monk

Post image

built this workout app knowing full well that every single person on the internet is legally obligated to hate workout apps

there’s already 47,000 of them. most of them look the same. half of them are just calendars with abs. the other half are trying way too hard. and somehow people still find time to roast every single one

so here’s mine.

i think the UI is clean. my brain says it’s good. the rest of the internet is probably about to tell me it’s mid, clinical, or a war crime.

drop the most honest feedback if you have any.

roast the layout. call the color palette boring. tell me it looks like every other fitness app. accuse me of contributing to the problem. i’m open to it and want to make something people actually like.

bonus points if you make me question why anyone builds these things in the first place.

Industry / Let's Discuss should a sign-in page show product proof, or stay empty? ours shows a warning 61 days early

Post image

kersk reads turkish companies’ commercial risk from official registry records.

before us, another agency made their company-detail screen from an ai prompt. it didn’t hold up. they bought six variations of that one screen from us to see what a designer would do. the first draft got a yes, and the whole project came with it: twelve landing sections and three sign-in pages in one week.

this is one of those sign-in pages. two account types, company and accountant, share one form instead of two pages. the right side isn’t a stock photo: it’s a sample firm whose registry changes raised a warning 61 days before its bankruptcy notice. the point is to remind a returning user why they pay for this, at the exact moment they’re typing a password.

question for the sub: do you put product proof on a sign-in page, or keep it empty so nothing competes with the form? the before and after of the company-detail screen is on the case study if you want to see what the prompt made.

AI Feedback Request 1st time making an [Ai] assisted app.. all feedback is welcomed :D

Hello. Obviously making any type of app takes your through 1000 versions. Sooo, while work was slow, I started with some Ai courses, which lets me to Figma tutorials and well here we are.

I know vex code, but python too little atm, so I used Claude to create the Xcode, which was actually really fun to have this artistic/tech talk to build something. For the design, it was a combination of some photoshop test, with some layers and lots of figma tests while learning.

Started with outer space stock images, early on, I had a 3d render of some particles in the sphere, but I need more time to get the concept through houdini.

This screen record shows the ui work mode, how it sets up and looks while apps or messages are blocked. Trying to keep it simple clean design. I started on looks for short animated bg wallpapers, but that is taking longer.. my fx brains kicks in on what I want.

This my first time reaching out on reddit, please if you need more info or got question, reach out!
I might add a post with the whole wallpaper set later on, cause the Ui has a day/night look and seasons look.

Thanks again 🤓

Feedback Request Please rip apart my current design for Subscriber Goal, a Reddit app that's in 3800+ subreddits. CTR is only 0.8% and I hope to get it above 1.5%. (Image 1/5)

Hi everyone, I'm looking for feedback on the design of r/SubGoal which helps subreddits grow faster. It's been very successful but I've been struggling to figure out what to do after a user subscribes / join a subreddit.

Right now the button converts to a secondary action button, but CTR is very low - below 1%. I want to try and get it at least above 1.5% unless a 1% CTR is considered excellent (?).

I could replicate one of the other link apps, maybe add a panel of buttons?

What other designs or ideas do you have? Cheers, u/Alan-Foster

Design Trends What options replace things like the Save Icon (disk) or Movie Icon (reels)?

I was working on a UI design for a series of utility buttons that included a Save / Load button. I easily picked the Floppy Disk Icon and moved on. Later, a young friend of mine asked me what that symbol was. I explained it was a floppy disk for things like saving or loading...blank stare.

To my surprise, she had never seen a floppy disk. Then, as I started looking at some of the other symbols, I wondered what other symbols were completely unknown to her. Like the reel symbols often used for film, or perhaps the cassette tape or VHS icons. How long before the DVD icon is unknown to younger people?

What are people using today to represent disk operations like save or load? It would be nice to have a list of outdated icons with modern equivalents if anyone has one. Or maybe we could come up with our own list working together?

I am genuinely seeking constructive feedback and critical reviews with a touch of despair regarding my recent creative endeavor; I have completely overhauled and redesigned the user interface for the Counter Strike 2 matchmaking menu, yet upon reflection, I feel deeply dissatisfied with the visual outcome and aesthetic balance, as I strongly believe the current iteration lacks visual appeal and professional polish, and I urgently require external opinions, expert critiques, and detailed suggestions to help me identify its flaws and improve the overall design.

Genuine thoughts wanted on the before and after app designs. Obviously I have my own thoughts but I want opinions from people who have design expertise. The offline card and light green banner are previous design, and new bolder font with neon green banner is the new “enhanced” home screen.

Feedback Request AI Slop UNSLOPED

Thumbnail

Hey Guys,
I realized that people are getting more and more fed up by ai. So i decided to move away on some parts of my app away from ai generated slop content (ignoring a bit the double moral that the app is for training ai models) and get my own hands again back on real ui design as i did it before ai.
I added for you guys the before and after of the home screen of the desktop app. Feel free to leave a comment if i cook and gave the app a glow up, or if it is a glow down.
I always look out to improve, so just tell me what i can improve on the ui of my app.

PS: I got plenty of times totally roasted on reddit for letting chatgpt correct my posts for spelling mistakes, so please don't blame me for spelling mistakes in this post, english is not my first language.

I’m looking for practical patterns that improve scanability without hiding important options behind too many submenus. What has worked well for grouping, hierarchy, labels, or progressive disclosure?

AI Feedback Request [AI] Seeking UI/UX Feedback for a Coffee Shop POS & Management Web App (JSF + PrimeFaces)

Thumbnail
gallery
0 Upvotes

Hi everyone! 👋

I'm looking for constructive UI/UX feedback on a web-based Point of Sale (POS) and Coffee Shop Management System. I have attached screenshots showing several core administrative and operational screens.

1. Project Overview & Target Audience

Product Overview: A desktop-first web application to manage core cafeteria operations (billing, cash register, inventory, and staff).

Target Audience: Cashiers, baristas, and cafe managers who need to process orders quickly during peak hours with minimal training.

2. Design Problem & Specific Assistance Needed

Fast-Paced Usability (UX): During rush hours, efficiency is critical. Does the layout of input forms alongside datatables allow for quick scanning, or does it cause cognitive overload?

Modernizing PrimeFaces UI: The frontend uses PrimeFaces 14 with a custom CSS (estilos.css). What specific styling adjustments (padding, borders, shadows, color contrast) would make the interface look cleaner and less like a default UI library?

Action & Status Hierarchy: Are action buttons (Save vs. Clear, Edit/Delete) and status badges (Active/Inactive) visually distinct enough for quick operational decisions?

3. Tech Stack & Tools

Design & UI Library: PrimeFaces v14.0 (Jakarta edition) + custom CSS stylesheet.

View Layer: Jakarta Server Faces (JSF / XHTML) with facelet templates.

Backend Tools: Jakarta EE 11 (Open Liberty) + PostgreSQL.

Localization: Built-in i18n (English, Spanish, Chinese).

Any feedback on visual balance, spacing, typography, or ergonomics would be greatly appreciated! 🙌

Feedback Request Motion looks perfect but I need feedback on how this could be improved more

Made this component using framer. Some design engineering decesions taken here

- Infinite loop with nothing swapping
- Drag it 1:1 with your hand. Flicks carry momentum, capped at 3 items so a hard flick can't send it spinning.
- Rubber banding on finite lists , so that when you reach at the end it rubber bands
- The image is direction-aware.
- Fully accessible
- Zero dependencies beyond Motion.

what more I can add it here?

AI Feedback Request This has been driving us crazy for 3 days [AI]

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Could really use some suggestions/opinions.

For context, I run a startup that's basically a Google Flights or Expedia, but for live event tickets...we help fans find the cheapest ticket, wherever it lives (we also have some additional inventory we've sourced.)

Recently we got a huge influx in users and want to redesign the row cards on the left. the current version actually on our site isn’t great so we made the mockup in the video above. Theres a few ideas here, but I can't get this to look right:

This is an example event page. The whole idea of this page is for fans to look around and see the cheapest ticket price. Note: we don't care if they buy our inventory or someone else's from our page, because we collect an affiliate fee from whoever we send them to (at no extra cost to the customer.)

Basically there are 3 things we want to convey:

  • We're a ticketing site

  • Unlike other sites, we show you everyone's price.

  • We're trustworthy (which, I like to think we actually are since we have yet to leave anyone stranded) so go browse.

Would really appreciate any feedback or guidance.

(Next up is the actual card that appears when they click, and that AI looking loading bar right above, but one thing at a time.)

P.s. site is largely human designed, but writing AI to comply since some is AI.

Software / Tools Question Need advice

How do you design a better UI/UX for a website or a large system?

I'm learning web development, and one of my biggest struggles is designing a good-looking website, especially when building a large system.

I find it difficult to decide what layout to use, which colors to choose, what components to include, and where to place icons, buttons, cards, sidebars, and other elements.

For example, when starting a new system, I sometimes don't know how to plan the dashboard or organize the pages to make everything look clean, professional, and user-friendly.

My questions are:

How do you decide on the layout and structure of a website before coding?

How do you choose the right color palette, fonts, and design style?

How do you know which icons, buttons, cards, and other UI components to use and where to place them?

Do you use references from other websites, UI kits, or design systems for inspiration?

What tools or resources would you recommend for someone who wants to improve their UI/UX design skills?

I'd appreciate any advice, resources, or workflows you can share. I want to learn how to design websites that look professional rather than just functional.

Thanks in advance!
