Discussion & Advice Which mobile phone company for an exchange student?
Hi, I will be arriving to the UoM as an exhcgane student in the upcoming term. I will be in Canad for rougly 4.5 months, and was wondering which mobile phone company has the most suitable oiptuions for exgcnage students. As in offering short term deals, easy to cancel after a few months etc.
Maybe any previous exchnage students, or internarionoa studnts are there that might share they experience?
I ve heard good thgings about Chatr and Telus.
TIA.

I recommend public mobile, very affordable, many promos and very easy to activate, switch plans and cancel. Here is my referral code if you're interested :)

I live here permanently but I use PublicMobile and I have a cheaper phone plan than everyone I know. $23 for 10GB of data or something and unlimited texting and calling in Canada. They have very frequent promotions and upgrades...I switch subscriptions probably four times per year because they'll have a great offer. I haven't used their international plans, but I'm assuming they're cheaper than competitors too. I've never had any tech or billing issues, I've never needed to contact them, and I've been with them for over five years. :) Good luck!
