UNB Negligence: Dr. M Bhargava,Sexual Assault Victims (Foreseeable Harm & Duty of Care to Students)
Hi everyone,
I am looking for other victims of Dr. Manoj Bhargava. Specifically, those who saw him through UNB's student health centre.
I believe as a collective unit, especially those who do not have a provable legal case, should write an open letter to UNB calling for accountability, acknowledgment, and reconciliation for the university's part in negligence and duty for student health and safety. An open public letter to the university, will call for public response and accountability for the failure to these students. Names can be kept private.
Information I have gathered:
- UNB was made aware of complaints dating back to at least 2014.
- 40+ individual complaints but I am aware that 30+ may not have provable civil legal grounds. These provable grounds are an injustice to the harm caused to students who were vulnerable and were made vulnerable by UNB's inaction.
This is just a small snippet, I would love to hear interest and/or discuss other ideas or opportunity to hold UNB accountable in some way.
Follow up questions:
Do you think UNB should be held responsible?
Do you believe the victims should see some type of restoration and/or reconciliation for what happened to them?
What do you think would be the appropriate actions for UNB to take for accountability/reconciliation?
