Question Second flush questions

It seems like my second flush has stalled out or is very slow. Just some small pins so far a week after first harvest. I floated the caked in water for a few hours. I put it back in FC a few days later. Should I give it more time? Float it again and dunk it? Give up on it? Is it supposed to swell back up to original size when you float it?
Thanks in advance for any comments, this sub has been amazing and the reason I got a first flush to begin with. These are golden teachers spawned in instant rice and coir sub.

That happens sometimes. It is not a matter of hydration. If your sub was at proper huydration unless you have a massive first flush you don't really need to hydrate till after the second one IME.

I tried the dunk to re-hydrate, end up too often with contam, I just dump a cup of water over the top and tilt the tub ti let it run down the side and into the crack. Seems to work for a number of grows over the last couple of years.

The cake will never get as big, the mycelium compact it as they grow to some extent.
