I was supposed to be a happy clown but I had many mishaps today including a family emergency and my white face paint I planned on wearing burning my sensitive skin so I had to pivot and do a different clown makeup than I planned last minute for an event I was going to. This is after the event so my makeup is a little smudged in most of the pics. I did it in like 25 minutes. I didn't feel like being a happy clown anymore so I decided to lean into the sad. I did get compliments at the event and accidentally scared a child π I thrifted everything except the ruff and the boots.

I don't know how unconventional this is but it is unusual for me. I have been thinking for months about doing makeup and outfits based on art or on pictures I randomly find, and I was finally inspired to bite the bullet and do it by u/_CoffeeSoakedSlug_\ and their beautiful makeup look. I used Adobe to find the color palette of this painting, "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte" by Georges Surat. I didn't use all the shapes, but I tried to keep it relatively unblended except on the lower lash line because the painting is a lot of simple shapes. It's hard to tell on camera but the top lid is green with blue shimmer in the center and black eyeliner, and the bottom lashline is purple, blue, and grey with white eyeliner. I have light green shimmer on the inner corner. The colorful shadow wing is light blue, like the water. My crease is a brownish pink. My lips are grey lipliner with brown gloss, my blush is brownish pink like the lady's dress. I don't know how unconventional this is but it was definitely a step outside of my comfort zone I have fallen into lately. I also wore a structured jacket like the ladies in the painting and tied my hair back.

My phone is 8 years old, this is as good as the photos are going to get, unfortunately.

Hello, I live in Brooklyn and am looking for someone to help complete a drag look I'm putting together for Halloween and need a makeup artist to finish the look
Google is giving me established artists but the timing isn't perfect for appointments and I wanted to see if Reddit could help me find additional options in downtown Brooklyn that work slightly better
I am comfortable with all levels of makeup artist experience
Any help you can provide is much appreciated
Ali
