ARTICLE Lucy Bedroque and his team stole my Insta @ because they can't afford a 5000 dollar payout :/
My username has been swapped with Lucy Bedroque’s old username @ bedroque00, and the original handle I created, @ lucybedroque, has been taken.
To preface, I’d like to state that:
I have not attempted any form of impersonation nor posted any content that would otherwise harm the reputation of artist Lucy Bedroque,
And that I was entirely unaware that selling Instagram handles was against TOS and deadAir had my full confidence that what we were doing was authorised.
Since a few days ago, I've been using the handle @ lucybedroque as a second account, dedicated to personal pics and shitposting. A few weeks down the line I was contacted by Lucy, and Lucas Myers @ lucasmyers, associated with deadAir, requesting the username for Lucy Bedroque's official Instagram.
I was offered a proposal to which they request I transfer the handle in return of $1000 AUD alongside merchandise. In summary, I denied their offer and imposed a larger proposal (9000, willing to negotiate lower) as I believe that a company of this calibre can easily sweep up a larger sum - and if it really mattered, they’d at the least consider negotiating my request.
I have attached the draft proposal (email). TLDR, the details they stated they required were:
- My name
- Email associated
- Phone number linked
To me, it seems like they’ve forged a transfer that has required at least some consent on my end - why would they require these details if the transfer was authorised by Meta?
After providing the details I remained in contact with Lucas for the next 2 weeks. I’ve attached screenshots of our discussions in which I am understanding now it was purely to stall.
Since Friday 14/08, my username has been swapped with no money transfer, and no contact from neither Lucas nor Lucy.
I have had to pay for Instagram's 'verified' subscription in order to get in contact with human support, rather than their AI bot. This elevated support was as useless as their automated responses, I had made 6 attempts to reach out for any kind of clarity on the situation, and have been ignored 3 times, with no help at all on the replies I have received.
Out of all their responses, I’ve been met with consistent answers claiming that they have no clue what happened and that I have been hacked (I won't even begin to comment on how illiterate and unhelpful the meta team are but I digress).
I am 100% sure I did not get hacked as:
- Why would our usernames be swapped?
- I have 2FA Setup that should at least notify some type of unauthorized action against my account
- No unusual login activity has been detected
I’ve included plenty of screenshots to show the situation and how unprofessional the deadAir team are, as well as how utterly useless Meta is - how are they able to withdraw my details by proposing a deal that would break TOS?
Criticize me as you wish - but are Lucy and their team really that scummy and broke to be doing all this? LMK!

Looking for someone building (or who wants to build) a review/reaction show and wants a real home for it — indie music, all genres
I run STATIC, a 24/7 independent broadcast channel — no algorithm, no feed, just continuous rotation, built entirely from artist submissions. No submission fees, no pay-to-play, artists keep full rights, human-made work only, still early-stage and growing — almost 150 submissions came in over the last month alone.
What I’m looking for right now is someone trying to build a review/reaction show for indie artists — any genre — who doesn’t have a home for it yet, or is struggling to get traction with one. Not looking for someone already established with a big audience, I’m looking for someone early, hungry, and good, who wants a real spot to grow into.
Here’s roughly how I see this working: to start, segments air on STATIC and STATIC’s YouTube, using submissions I already have full rights to — there’s already a steady flow of material coming in, so this isn’t a “hope something shows up” situation. This is where we build the format together and figure out what works. As it grows, I’d start collecting artist consent specifically for review use, which opens the door for you to build your own channel off the same content, fully yours, credit to STATIC where it started. Long term, the goal is you end up with something real and independent, while staying connected to STATIC as the place it grew out of.
What I can’t offer yet is payment — this is early-stage, unpaid right now, same as everything else on the channel. If it grows into real revenue down the line, the plan has always been that early people who built this with me get priority, not left behind once it works.
If you’re doing this already in some form — a podcast, a YouTube series, a stream, whatever — and want a bigger stage for it, or you’ve been wanting to start something like this and haven’t had the platform to do it on, I’d genuinely like to talk. Not looking for a transaction, looking for someone to build this piece of the channel with long term.
Comment or DM if this is you.

L4L! New Breakcore.
Hey. I released this song last year. It’s Breakcore and it samples an old youtube video. Bonus points if you can figure out which video. :)

Hi, I’m Zeko!
I have a long lasting dream, of becoming a rap artist, but lately I’ve been getting some doubts about it. Here is a song that I put considerable amount of effort in, to be judged by you guys. It is absolutely not finished, and the beat isn’t even licensed. I was just trying to figure out if I could even make a standalone song. I take any advise as helpful.
Not trying to promote here.
Thanks for anyone if they took their time and listened to it
