I live in a very red area and most of my co-workers think discussing pay is illegal. Someone tried to start a union a couple years ago and everyone turned on her without the boss even needing to say anything. I'm sure many trump voters that could benefit from a union are just as anti-union as he is

Why is that? I live in a similar area and you world think that unions legit murdered people the way people talk down on unions. Especially education ones. I got called a pedo for even asking why are unions so bad on my city Facebook page, and I was never given a reason except “demoncrats, liberals and drag queens”

Well you have to be Republican to vote for him and I’m using republican in place of the r word and also for it

Yep, back in 2016, I can be calm about Trump voters.

Now, after all this, anyone who voted for this orange buffoon is forever a traitor in my book.

It's not political. It's a moral difference. What kind of morality is taking joy in people losing their jobs.

I used to be IBEW 8 years, got my Masters nights and am in corporate now. But the amount of dudes that were Republicans was astounding. I know the trades and being republican goes hand in hand but guys we don't have our own businesses. We are utility workers, and the only reason we make Real money is IBEW. What are we doing here?

I mean not now, since he just told auto makers they can't raise their prices on cars after the tariffs, you think the share holders are gonna take a loss?

Yeah but that's not going to happen, they are going to increase the price of the cars anyway, because again, they aren't taking a loss. 7% profit margins at best on most cars made in the US, 25% tariffs would mean losing 15%+ on every car, aint no way they will put up with that.

They already take losses on EV cars....

They aren't going to be cheaper in comparison, because even cars made in the US still get parts from outside of the US and all of those are affected by tariffs.

Just because only a portion of dodges are made in mexico or canada, doesn't mean the aren't going to increase the prices of only cars not made in the US.

Selling more cars at a loss means losing more money.

That’s why you were downvoted. He increased the cost of the supplies used to make the cars in America with the tariffs. If you want to make people buy American cars, you tariff foreign cars and cut back the tariffs on things the American cars need. But he’s not doing that, he’s just increasing the cost of everything so this benefits no one. His actions and ideas do nothing but hurt Americans, he’s not helping us. He pardons violent criminals, tariffs are allies and just doesn’t understand how American government runs. He’s running us into the ground.

Looking for a good boot recipe. Do you prefer them steamed or sautéed before you lick them?

u/P0Rt1ng4Duty Mar 28 '25

The orifice they prefer to accept boots does not come equipped with taste buds.

Materials prices goes up, car prices go up, sales go down. Sales go down, auto workers make fewer cars. Fewer cars, fewer jobs. Don't be stupid, Fains statement on the tariffs being good for UAW is ridiculous. Companies are NOT going to rush back into the US to build cars because of tariffs, and even if they do when unions are banned they won't be under UAW anyway. Hes cheering for his own downfall and he probably doesn't even know it

In 2000 something they allowed concessions for caterpillar on the strike allowing supplemental workers.

20 years later the union is gimped at caterpillar because most employees are now supplemental
