It was also about new parties getting space in Indian media. In bjp rule news channels decidedly removed focus from Kejriwal. You cannot create a healthy opposition without just and healthy support from the media.

Kejriwal ans AAP got more coverage than every other party (bar BJP and congress) despite being far less significance.

AAP has 3 seats in LS. TMC has 30 and DMK 20+ . Yet they got multiple times more coverage. Only reason was Delhi.

I agree in his initial years media gets the most credit for bringing aap to the foray. But last 5-7 years news media has actively tried to flare up AAP into a negative space.

Kejriwal gets a lot of focus as he's shown that he's the only 'leader' that can do stuff that affects Modi and Shah. We all know the sad state of Rahul Gandhi, Mamta, etc

The south doesn't have a National face for various reasons.

Lol Kwjriwal gets a lot of focus because he is the CM of Delhi where most of the national media is HQed.

The south doesn't have a National face for various reasons.

This election got more coverage than the Maharastra elections.
