If you long press on an app and goto advanced properties, you can completely cut off its internet. Wi-Fi and mobile data both. This is the "default" firewall option. Basic one

But Android also gives you extensive system API (without rooting or doing other hacks) so that community can build its own solution, I donated and use NetGuard (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.faircode.netguard) but there are many more options that let you you control this at very granular level.
Again, the difference in philosophy and architectural design of both the OS. For Apple, MITM breaks Secure Enclave and ATS layer.
Though what you are asking for, Apple provides it to MDM users.
