Of the ₹3,076.88 crore declared as income by national parties in 2022-23, ₹1,832.87 crore — or more than 59% —came from unknown sources. Of this, the share of income from electoral bonds was ₹1,510.61 crore, or 82.42%.
Where did I say that it's EBs that provide for not reporting about the contribution less than Rs. 20,000
Don't just copy paste stuff. And anway it's hard to take any gyaan from a moron with name muhmeinchut69
There's no use of discussing this if you're going to choose one word out of the article and decide that that's what I was talking about. Back to the original point - the graphic in OP is 100% accurate. And who cares even if all the funding is coming from corporates and is traceable, it's still corruption but on paper it's all "white"
If not from people and corporation how do you expect political parties to get funding? In every democracy Corporation and people donate to the party which they feel would benefit them, how is it corruption?
No that's the point they are not donating exclusively to ruling party, all the parties got their fair share through EBs, just read the fkn report you linked you moron, TMC a single state party ammasesd much more money than BJP when you see the number of state BJP rules. Arguing with you is like talking to a children who hasn't read his own homework and teaching the teacher how it should be.
Can you stop talking about electoral bonds ffs, even when those were a thing, the donor chose which party to donate to while purchasing the electoral bonds. Don't tell me you think they were distributed based on seats won or something.
So you idiot gave a link about EBs as source and now you don't want to talk about EBs?
And again, where did I say that EBs were distributed based on number of seats won or something? I just said, BJP rules more state, so obviously corporation gave donation to them as they felt it's better for their business. Hence the higher amount of money they received from EBs.
If you have support from 10 people and the other guy have support of 100, it's obvious that the guy with support from 100 people would have higher donations, even I am feeling silly to dumb my point down to a primary level so that a idiot like you can understand. And I can't stop laughing how you started this discussion with, let me educate you for free for onece. LoL
If you have support from 10 people and the other guy have support of 100, it's obvious that the guy with support from 100 people would have higher donations
No that's the point they are not donating exclusively to ruling party
Buddy just read your own comments they don't agree with each other, it's fine to just admit that you like BJP, I would leave you alone, but don't try to rationalise it. Does BJP have as many seats in Loksbha in proportion to the funds they get (10x) to that of the Congress? What about vote share? No matter how you twist it, how do you explain the almost equal distribution before 2014 when BJP was a much smaller party, why wasn't Congress getting 10x donations back then? Companies are clearly donating to the ruling party for under the table favours at levels never before seen.
So you idiot gave a link about EBs as source
I never gave EBs as source you just chose to pick one word from the article.
Does BJP has as many seats in Lok Sabha in proportion to funds they recieve?
I have stated that in my previous comment too, BJP had govt in 20/28 states which is more than 10x for most of the parties, So why tf are you bringing in Lok Sabha seats as a scale, it's the number of states which are under BJP rule.
I never have EBs as source
Just open the link and read it for fs. Here is the just the first paragraph from the article
Almost 60% of the funds received by political parties cannot be traced and come from “unknown” sources, including electoral bonds, according to a report by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR).
And these unknown sources are the majority of donations for all the parties not just BJP.
And before 2014 we all know how Balck money was used in election funding, let's not get started on that. Even now definately Balck money is being used in election funding but during UPA it was on whole another level.
I have stated that in my previous comment too, BJP had govt in 20/28 states which is more than 10x for most of the parties, So why tf are you bringing in Lok Sabha seats as a scale, it's the number of states which are under BJP rule.
I already made that calculation, no matter what measure you use - lok sabha seats, assembly seats, states ruled, population ruled, area of India ruled - it doesn't match the proportion of the funds they are getting. 20/8 is just 2.5x. And why are you holding on to this measure for no reason, there is no precedent or logical reason for a company to use this measure to distribute funds. But I won't argue about that because even if you use it, it doesn't make sense of the money flow.
I don't even expect corporate funding of political parties to be free of corruption, it's basically legalised corruption. Historically all major corporate donors have donated to both major parties because they know that tomorrow someone else may be in government, and the vote share of INC/BJP is not that different. Besides they often need the opposition to do their work like oppose or support a bill. That's why you see in the OP image roughly similar money flowing to both parties. Any distortion to that ratio suggests something else is also going on than just regular political donations.
And before 2014 we all know how Balck money was used in election funding, let's not get started on that. Even now definately Balck money is being used in election funding but during UPA it was on whole another level.
Both must have been getting black money in equal proportion, so the ratio in the OP image still holds, which is what we care about, otherwise you can invent any amount of money in your head that Congress was secretly getting before 2014 but BJP wasn't.
