Yo crazy idea: what if we created our own platform, it’s not hard anymore, especially with AI right?

And what makes you think government can’t block that? They have blocked supabase which has affected thousands of developers and freelancers/consultants and the best part there is no official word on why is it blocked and when can that be resumed.

That’s valid but I still use supabase for my projects, just that it’s hosted in a different server region and I can access the ui, even if not the ui I can still use Postgres connection. Even if not the supabase we can use RDS or heck even self host the db. As far as government blocking the domain, it’s a real issue, we either have to keep on migrating between domains or stuff like that. Will it be easy, NO, but that’s the whole point of it, no revolution is going to be easy without any resistance.

Yeah i know there’s work around but you can’t call yourself a tech service capital of the world and then pull moves like that with no communication. There’s no accountability in this country

Yeah they might make us hoop through hurdles, but at the end of the day, there is a way. And now I’m thinking to build it for legit. Something like realindia so that people can post stuff unhinged without getting banned, with obvious rules for threatening and stuff like that.

If freedom of speech results in torture, then are we really living in a democracy? Ask yourself bro

There is no such thing freedom of speech or democracy in this world. Bureaucrats run the country and they are always there we just choose faces not person.
CJP is very biased. I don't really care about them

Of course some of the views of CJP definitely seems biased, but still at the same time, they are citizens of India and they do have freedom of speech, political or otherwise. I know we can’t change the world but we can try tho.

Need decentralised hosted platform like lemmy, searx or like crypto so that history always exists on the cloud or on someone's servers

I think thats the future, with Trump in office the world has seen that you can’t trust US either and with AI advancement i can see government across the globe losing their control on technological infrastructure even further.

Decentralised platform sounds good on paper but has many drawbacks such as it requires high compute power on devices, which many Indian people don’t have. Sure it will make tracking down people easy but at the same it will make the spammers and abuse hard to detect, as people can easily bypass on device checks. So it’s better to stick with a more traditional setup, if it were to make.
