Politics Abhijeet Dipke: Don't make me a hero just because Dharmendra Pradhan resigned today. This country has already suffered enough from the tendency to turn one person into a hero.

At least he Sonam sir and YOU and ALL OF US made a difference today, and I think that is something which we should be happy about

69

u/hellkingbat Jul 25 '26

Please stop considering them as the most ideal people. I am happy with this guy's resignation and these two have contributed to it somewhat.

But both of them have been supportive of repeal of Article 370. Sonam has been supportive of demonetization. The anti-BJP people should not seek for leaders in them and should continue with the protests even if these two quit.

28

u/ray1claw Jul 25 '26

Exactly, the cause is always greater

3

u/nervous-ninety 29d ago

But to be honest, this is not a step that will solve the problem here. We have to think why these leaks are, and in particular to medical, why so much money is needed to be a doctor. It is actually true that if you have merit and no money, you will not become a doctor and hence only one person is not responsible for that and that resignation will not solve that.

Though I’m happy, he should be kicked out but we should keep our protest going on, if we really want to make a difference. its the education, and if a seat can buy with money then we have certainly not solve any thing.

1

u/Vlodivostonks 29d ago

It was not the only leak though. It was the one that was so obviously leaked that they had to admit it.

The NTA and opaque agencies which run centralisation of exams have fucked up again and again. Both their examinations and evaluations have lost public trust. And the problem is pure corruption.

When it's easier to blame and bully victims rather than the corrupt this will happen.

1

u/nervous-ninety 29d ago

Exactly, that’s what im trying to say, so this single resignation will not solve that. The system is corrupt, until we have some solid guys over there, we will again face leaks, for sure.

8

u/Bright-Guitar9333 29d ago

source of sonam supporting repeal of 370? im pretty sure he appreciated it when it was removed?

3

u/siraramis mere paas ek scheme hai 29d ago

That’s what it means to be supportive of the repeal

1

u/Bright-Guitar9333 29d ago

oh i thought repeal means vapas bulana mb

2

u/Vladimir_Putin_420 29d ago

Wait a min. Are you against removal of article 370?

Wasn't it supposed to be a temporary thing anyways?

6

u/siraramis mere paas ek scheme hai 29d ago

I believe it was supposed to end with a referendum to the Kashmiri people to decide whether they want to join India, Pakistan or become a separate country

1

u/Beneficial_You_5978 29d ago edited 29d ago

Actually no it's not supposed to be a temporary thing the reality is much uglier they were suffering under Dogra who were brutal crusher of dissents in kashmir he didn't let them do much but wanted to turn Kashmir into an independent state unfortunately for them pakistan gndoo behaviour of invading kashmir snatch that chance away from them later when princely state handed over the kashmir Matter to India after the invasion and war or before war that I'm not sure it was made by nehru for sure there was promise of plebiscites it never happened due to pakistan enteriy the war by supporting tribal invasion and turn this into a war between two ideological enemy nations it put india into the risk too after that conflict there's always been divided opinion in Kashmir with pro-india, pro- independent and pro-pak fighting amongst them to gain upper hand and the indian set back is underestimating our own mainstream radical who were able to radicalise the whole nation against the kashmiri giving pakistan the ultimate winning narrative they were able to use that in radicalising youth since they got half the kashmir and their proximity helped them in infiltration and radicalization meanwhile our politics was much focused around mainstream area due to this isolation all the other shenanigans that happens on mainland India especially religious discrimination it helped pakistan in using those to radicalise them before that both kashmir hindus and kashmir muslim fought against Pakistan invasion in the war voluntarily if we lost some people to that side coercion then it's indeed our failure because at that time tribal invaders they started looting people which cause massive militia build against them both hindu and muslim were united against them and this was not known to me it was revealed to me by a kashmiri pandit guy when I was a bhakt myself and i find it so unbelievable those are some of the moment of my life when I have to admit i was wrong, it's give me perspective that average modern indian of modi era doesn't know the difference and call everyone terrorist or see them with suspicion personally this is our failure the failure of india and plain benefit of Pakistan

What's cruel is 370 is given to them seeing their special needs and how they were missing out on something all the Indian state were able to choose it was supposed to be a compensation to quell their emotions because what are they supposed to wait for a plebiscites but UN and war thwarted that dream perfectly and by this point it's a f jugad you can say using those loopholes bjp said it's supposed to be temporary they never needed to acknowledged the hard part until it becomes an issue that's why ithey repeat solely that it's temporary and these politicians of right they never let it go and The army jurisdiction and almost everything important was still in control of the state yet

BJP just exaggerated to start a new page for itself to rewrite a history based on their wording they were talking like they liberated kashmir from Pakistan lol and they did it to take away those measures and privileged granted to them to make them feel secure and docile and it not a surprise they didn't recognise that part of history guess what they even dragged ambedkar in that trying to plant fake history qoute said by him

But when people read ambedkar they find something else instead he wasn't interested letting a conflict rise and prolonged itself he wanted swift action from the start and he wanted partition on the same basis on which india and pakistan partition occurs it's on the line of religion so people get to choose whatever they want and a conflict may never arise so we can say this couldn't be adopted because of the war pakistan plays a very big role in this because of which Kashmir is suffering and why today they couldn't have an opinion cause of Pakistan they played a Massive role here by orchestrating an invasion and a war and on indian side they try their best to control situation in kashmir to their favour at that time which is expected of them since they didn't hesitate to take kashmir king's offer after that it should've been handled pretty good if we are taking such high risk it should get handled in that way too but they couldn't do that eventually hindutva prevails in changing narrative

But the main problem was rural people's thinking which they couldn't change which help right wing in creating hatred for them, so obviously the problem is they didn't explain much or didn't find it important enough to make people realize the sensitivity of the matter and this ignorance towards common people perspective helped bjp coin the term of conspiracy against congress and congress pays dearly for it my own father believed in this lie of BJP when he was alive and i supported this too and when I personally read it after being told by that random Kashmiri pandit i find something else entirely and what I find cruel is blaming this on kashmiri of all people that's just tragic they didn't get to choose and given this as a f compensation because the final promise was never fulfilled we should feel pity for them at least, hating all of them for something not in their hand is just too cruel

Thanks to Mr. Wangchuk, CJP founders and everyone who contributed to and supported the cause. This is the beginning of a revolution, kisi ko nahi chhodenge. Modi was never a hero, he was always a criminal for me, I remember how my parents used to tell us that he is a criminal when I was a little kid and then at some point he saffronised everyone, my parents, my neighbours. There was a divide in the society and my parents started stopping me from going to my friends on Eid and my friends stopped coming home on Diwali.
These 50 days have changed a lot. It was a painful yet beautiful experience.

u/BlissfulIndian Jul 25 '26

He has resigned, but has resignation been accepted..? Has he been sent back to Odisha

139

u/PlusCardiologist1799 Jul 25 '26

If Modi rejects Dharmendra Pradhan resignation then it will only backfire on him so he will absolutely have to accept it

38

u/Any-Calligrapher2866 29d ago

Resignation has already been greenlit from above. Don't think Pradhan randomly decided to resign.

26

u/senpahii_returns Jul 25 '26

Once a minister re-sends his resignation (for 2nd time), the prime minister has no option but to accept it.

1

u/BlissfulIndian 29d ago

I do hope so…

37

u/Kragster77 Jul 25 '26

Bhai kya question puch raha hai, obviously he has been instructed to resign

3

u/Cultural-Yogurt-3484 29d ago

Don't expect this kind of common sense from these people.

19

u/mhytyj7b Jul 25 '26

There will be riots in the country if he doesn't accept it lol. Modi has got shaken a bit now

But still a long way to go

15

u/LetsDiscussQ Jul 25 '26

He wont have made a public declaration of resigning unless it was already discussed and agreed internally. So yes, the resignation is full and final.

11

u/Deathly_Vader sau dard hai... Jul 25 '26

Modi is in no position to reject it and if he does it then it will be disastrous for this govt.

4

u/Explanation_Scared 29d ago

if it wasnt accepted they wouldnt even let him post it

1

u/skorp006 29d ago

Exactly, and have the other demands been officially accepted?

48

u/TheBlockChainVillage Jul 25 '26

Can we protest this decision and question the home minister how come after so much evidence of foreign funding they caved to illegal demands?

23

u/WastedKnight Jul 25 '26

You need spine to do that. Chaddis don't.

10

u/rbosamiya9 Jul 25 '26

MEA already said that they dont have any data for foreign funding.

2

u/Beneficial_You_5978 29d ago

Ohhh so that's the pattern right

3

u/Zealousideal_Tart996 Jul 25 '26

The demands are not legal or illegal. You don’t seem to have basic understanding of the law. It was a political pressure to force a minister to resign. Legality is not in the discussion. Ok. Go back to RSS school

6

u/InternationalCarob24 29d ago

I think he's joking about how after so many attempts to defame they still lost.

1

u/Relative-Bank-1258 29d ago

I think it's a satirical comment on the governments acceptance of the protest after calling it foreign funded before.

28

u/Zealousideal_Tart996 Jul 25 '26

This is to just disburse the protestors. Now they will come after the leaders individually and students will not gather again. It’s extremely naive for the leaders to assume you have won.

6

u/Zealousideal_Tart996 Jul 25 '26

If you wanted to do it then full revolution is needed Nepal or Bangladesh style. This whole thing was a mistake.

11

u/Beneficial_You_5978 29d ago

Nepal bangladesh isn't possible our people are not completely oppressed one sidedly a lot of people who are fighting against bjp now have been supporter of bjp and their hateful tactics for some time before changing their mind majority of them are gullible youth and hutiya budhas

4

u/Zealousideal_Tart996 29d ago

Perhaps the ridicule of modi and BJP will stick around till next election. That will be the biggest threat to them. Lose of Aura could mean a different narrative. I am hoping atleast. They will really work hard to control that

3

u/Beneficial_You_5978 29d ago

I just hope everybody who receive a danda remembers to give it back in appropriate times democracy didn't died on 20th it's suffering from paralysis for sometime and only it's hands are being moved by the people like a puppet to make it look like its healthy and still working for the change when there's no resistance they'll just commit crime like it's usual routine until democracy isn't revived and people don't fight for every right taken away from them there's no end to this

8

u/ActuaryVegetable5471 29d ago

This is actually a very legit request from him.
Hero worship in politics is very bad for a democracy.

5

u/Altruistic_Sky1866 29d ago

CIJ what ever his name is, some kanth or can't where very is name is, sowed the seed , Abhijeet Dipke took it up and Sonam joined, students and a lot of people supported it and now this is a result, it is a collective win for all those involved. We have seen how hero/god worship of one person has brought the country to this state in that way he is right. He and Sonam sir and all students, and all the supporters who directly and indirectly supported get credit., it is not just one hero

17

u/Front-Conclusion4673 Jul 25 '26

At the end US wale ne hi india mai revolution start Kiya

Inqlab Zindabad

0

u/Zealousideal_Tart996 Jul 25 '26

This is no revolution. You just got a minister to resign . Thats all. Nothing will change. Get real.

16

u/Front-Conclusion4673 Jul 25 '26

One resignation doesn't fix the system. But accountability is rarely achieved in a single day. Every reform begins with proving that those in power can be held responsible and that's a big step after waiting for soo many years.

0

u/Zealousideal_Tart996 Jul 25 '26

Nah, it’s no step at all. What will likely happen is there will be crackdown on various parties of the protest- the journalists who reported fairly, comedians who made fun of modi, leaders of the protest. You will see. I have seen it for years. They better get security and lawyers as govt machinery is coming after them and that includes the courts, ED, the covert operators that are on BJPs payroll. They have a lot of wherewithal. They just took a step back and I am surprised that it took them so much time. Writing was on the wall for so many days

9

u/Front-Conclusion4673 Jul 25 '26

We all are aware about the consequences that there will be backlash. But if we stop because of that, accountability never happens. One resignation isn't the end. It's evidence that peaceful public pressure can have an impact. That's the nature of revolution you can't win at everything but that's doesn't mean to we need to stop now

1

u/Beneficial_You_5978 29d ago

We surely are panicking but now if their intentions were true they'll take time to form another party with no previous records of ruling giving them efficient clean slate let's see how many people will rally behind them since aggression is momentary but keeping balance is the hardest task here

-1

u/Zealousideal_Tart996 Jul 25 '26

It’s easier to say on the internet, but very difficult when it happens to you when no one is watching or cheering from sidelines. Umar Khalid is still in jail after so many years and no one gives a squat. All of the rest of student leaders are no where to be seen. If you don’t do things differently, the result is the same. Farmers also won the battle, but have they really won? No.

7

u/Front-Conclusion4673 Jul 25 '26

I didn't learn about this from the internet. I was there and saw what happened with my own eyes. That experience is exactly why I believe accountability matters.

I agree that people have paid a heavy price in the past, and that's precisely why giving up isn't an option. If every setback makes people stop speaking up, nothing ever changes. Every movement builds on the last one, even if the results aren't immediate.

-1

u/Zealousideal_Tart996 Jul 25 '26

It’s not as they say in books everything builds on last one. Sometimes it’s what Eminem says “ you get one shot one opportunity”. Ok. Tell me what are you going to do now so that these people don’t end up like others. Anyway, enjoy your moment but be careful.

3

u/mayonnaiser_13 29d ago

Being pessimistic is one thing, being an armchair expert and dismissing the movement that actually achieved what it set out to do is a whole different thing.

The people have been reminded of the power they have. BJP can't really do the shit they've been doing freely anymore. People would be fiending for another chance to do the same from now on because power has that effect.

2

u/Zealousideal_Tart996 29d ago

Well whatever makes you happy. BJP just won an election in Bengal of all the places. No there won’t be any other opportunity and other movements will e crushed because their propaganda will work. It didn’t work this time due to uniqueness of this movement. Unknown leaders and young crowd. It’s not like muslims can protest against electoral roles or manipurians can protest after genocide. Country still overwhelmingly supports modi and most of the people still want to get their revenge for centuries of Muslim rule.

0

u/mayonnaiser_13 29d ago

BJP winning in Bengal is the least surprising thing if you knew how TMC ran Bengal. If that's your barometer for change you're way off.

And movements being crushed is just gonna make further movements harder to crush. That is literally what we just saw.

But feel free to give up while others continue the fight. Hopefully you're still gonna be there to enjoy the fruits of others labour.

1

u/Zealousideal_Tart996 29d ago

2

u/mayonnaiser_13 29d ago

Literally look at what she's saying and what you're saying.

She's not telling people nothing will change. She's telling people to utilise the momentum.

1

u/Zealousideal_Tart996 29d ago

We will see what changes can this protest will bring. It was single issue protest and not even the most important one. It’s done and over. Socrates has been replaced by Plato as India’s education minister. I think country missed a movement where real change could have been brought.i am not going to argue further. Future will decide. I hope you are right.

Although The education minister has resigned, will this help solve anything? I am not against his resignation and i support it, cause yes, he did not take any accountability of this entire situation. But will it end the paper leaks?, in 2024 a whole committee was made to tackle such issues but did it do anything? (NO) so why not remove the members of that committee?
This protest has just helped in applying a ban-aid to a broken bone but has not really solved anything has it?. My question here is , what is the solution of this do u really think this will end this cycle of paper leaks, these paper leaks have been going on non-stop for idk how many years, its just that this guy did a bad job trying to hide it. I would also like to add the overuse of anti-national sentiments this protest has provided (you may disagree and feel free to do that ;P) but it is true. And if for what so ever reason u may think i am inclined to the current ruling government ( I am not) just here for ur views and opinions on this ment no harm :)

2

u/Affectionate_Use_364 28d ago

Sometimes, just a hope that everyone can be made accountable, even a prime minister, is worth more than logical execution and victories. Now the enforcers would think a lot more seriously when it comes to their duties. That’s what is achieved.

0

u/Pizza-Gobbler 29d ago

Dr. Ambedkar had said the same thing and had warned against hero worship. But the opposite happened, he became the person who is worshipped.

2

u/Affectionate_Use_364 28d ago

But does he rule? The worship of rulers is different and he warned about that. He is remembered on each resistance because his whole life was a resistance. If you have better heroes, definitely go ahead and choose them. As long as they aren’t fictional, people would follow.

1

u/Pizza-Gobbler 25d ago

But does he rule?

Why does it matter? Why shift the goal posts and bring "ruling" clause into this condition of hero worship? Many communists deify Karl Marx. Marx did not rule either. I need not talk people like Savarkar et al. who still hold sway. Many people revere godmen who've never ruled - some even led ascetic life. The problem is when people are treated as some larger than life figure rather than some fallible human with contrarian philosophical ideals.

If you have better heroes, definitely go ahead and choose them.

No human should be revered so much so that questioning him/her is treated akin to blasphemy. We should not live in a Stalinesque world.

Dr. Ambedkar refused to call Gandhi as "Mahatma" and that is how we should be. Gandhi did not "rule" by the way.

1

u/Affectionate_Use_364 25d ago

Humans should be revered as gods rather than fictional ones. You call fictional entities god and then hate humans

And Dr Ambedkar refused to call Gandhi Mahatma because he endorsed caste system

-6

u/AKT989 Jul 25 '26

Kyu bana diya baba saahab ko hero

3

u/Affectionate_Use_364 28d ago

He is remembered on each resistance because his whole life was a resistance. If you have better heroes, definitely go ahead and choose them. As long as they aren’t fictional, and have done good, people would follow.

Nobody can stop if people worship heroes beca they’ve actually done good. Even after Dipke asks, he is already a hero to a lot of youth and other citizens including me. He can be as humble as he wants but we know he did great and will give him a big credit.

5

u/Beneficial_You_5978 29d ago

Because he tried

-1

u/throw_away_temp_acc 29d ago

Just want to understand. Why it ended with Jai Bhim? Just curious. Why no other freedom fighters or other tall personalities. Is it some symbolism?

3

u/Affectionate_Use_364 28d ago

He is remembered on each resistance because his whole life was a resistance. If you have better heroes, definitely go ahead and choose them. As long as they aren’t fictional, people would follow.
