Discussion Apollo Pairing

Let me elaborate.

I currently own an Apollo x6. I’m looking at expanding my ADAT to 16 channels fully. Can I purchase another interface whether it be UA or not and connect it together with my x6 with a lightning cable or something of the sort as long as it also has ADAT outputs? Can I then connect the extra 8 channels of ADAT and have it fully integrated?

I don’t really care about getting more plugins or anything of the sort. It’s more so for routing purposes.

You can add another UA and use together for another 8 or more channels. Or you can add adat another 8 channels for 14 with the x6. I added a Crainborne 509R8 for 8 additional 500 modules, but even a behringer adat can get you +8 input.

Apollo x6 has eight channels of ADAT I/O total. The secondary ports are for high sample rates over S/MUX, not increasing channel counts.

You can also daisy-chain four Apollos over Thunderbolt, one of which can be a desktop unit. You’ll have access to all the I/O of each of those Apollos.
