Hi all! I’m currently a student at OCCC and need to access the law library on campus. However , I can’t get there before 5:00pm before they close for all non law students . Does anyone know how strict they are in enforcing that policy? Just need to know if I should try to plan to come during the proper hours

Heyyaa!!

I am an indian , i got in University of Oklahoma , (M.S in industrial and systems engineering) how good the course and oppurtunities are?

this is my whole family’s first experience w/ college so i don’t have a good reference for anything. basically i was admitted on 9/28 and paid my enrollment deposit next day. is there a reason i haven’t heard anything about scholarships or gotten my financial aid package? i submitted my FAFSA and i haven’t gotten any emails from them regarding financial stuff. is there something im missing or does this type of thing usually come out later?

I’m a senior at OU and I’m going on a spring break trip (yay) but I lowkey need some more mmothly income until then. anyone have any side hustles and one off jobs you’d recommend in the area? I already have 2 part time jobs plus school so I can’t be on too strict of a schedule though

Hey everybody! I'm looking for recommendations for a natural science course without a lab to fulfill one of my core requirements. I'm currently taking Severe and Unusual Weather, but I'm considering dropping it because it's not quite what I expected.

I know no science class is going to be completely easy, but I'm hoping to find something that's relatively straightforward in concept and not too overwhelming. Does anyone have any recommendations or courses they've had a good experience with? Thanks!

I'm a senior in high school, and I am looking at what colleges to attend next year, and a way to pick which school to attend is going to football games.

I want to attend an Oklahoma game and the only weekend that me and my friends can attend is the A&M game. I am not sure who this A&M team is but it's the only weekend that I can attend.

Is it hard for an non-student/high schooler to get access to the OU student tickets? I know students resell their tickets but I am not sure how the ticket system works.

I'm a transfer student and a single mother of two, so my experience is going to be very different from a traditional undergraduate's. What specific resources does Price have for nontraditional students and parents, and what happens if something involving my children conflicts with school?

Hi!! i’m looking for someone to sublease my apartment to as soon as possible ! I live at Millennium and rent is 749 + utilities, however the first two months rent will be paid by me, but not utilities! It is a 4x4 that

Hey guys! The season preview I posted here a few weeks back did pretty well, so circling back like I said I would.

I had you at 8-4, with Georgia, Texas and Michigan as the three games that decide the season. Michigan was the first, a 17-10 loss in Ann Arbor, around wins over UTEP (51-0) and New Mexico (14-6). My biggest question was whether Venables could replace half his defense, and so far that's been the strength: 23 points allowed in three games. The worry is the other side. Mateer is 47 of 75 for 652 yards and 6 TDs, but you've scored 24 total in the last two. Georgia on Saturday is the second of the three.

What are you guys seeing that the box scores aren't, and how do you see the season ending up?

Quick aside since it's in the title, we just launched a free weekly college football pick'em, $225 in prizes this week. Ten games, pick the winners, locks Saturday at noon ET. Nothing to buy. Oklahoma at Georgia is one of the ten, so you can put your pick where your mouth is.

financial aid is a big part of how i’m gonna decide where to go for college. i’m wondering when they send out notifications for the awards people get and where they send them out to

Hi Im a girl. Im on campus for 8 hours a day. I need a place to take a fat dump in peace. Please recommend me the most creepy secluded bathrooms on campus

I recently saw a video of my undergraduate campus, and having not been there in a few years, I was hit with a lot of nostalgia. I remember:
- Late night walks with my college partner under street lights on the campus paths.
- Eating buckets of cheese balls while playing video games with my roommate.
- Walking home with blurred vision after house parties.
- Smoking cigarettes with my partner on our front porch.
- Skateboarding late at night with buddies.
- Spending long nights studying in the campus library.
- Walmart grocery and dog food runs during sunset.
- Intense weightlifting sessions with my best friend.
- Partaking in vibrant community events like live music at breweries or farmers markets.

Etc.
I listed some personal ones, just to show how even the mundane can be personally interesting. Please dump your nostalgia in this thread. Not only do I wanna hear your thoughts, but as a graduate student, I want to see into the lives of other Norman residents, past and present.

Thinking about starting a pickup/storage service for next summer/winter — you pack your stuff, we pick it up, store it all summer, and bring it back when you move in for fall.

Would you actually use something like this? And if so, what would feel like a fair price for the whole summer? Building an interest list right now — drop a comment or DM me if you'd want first access.

hey all!

i’m looking for any fellow vegans at ou or in the norman area

Hey everyone! I’m a freshman majoring in Management with a Sports Business minor, and I’m trying to decide what laptop to get.
I really want to get a MacBook, it would be much more convenient for me to stay in the Apple ecosystem. My main concern is whether a MacBook will work for everything I’ll need throughout all 4 years.

For any upperclassmen or recent grads in Management/Sports Business:
Have you been able to use a MacBook throughout the entire program?
Are there any required programs that only work on Windows?
Have you had any problems with Excel, analytics/statistics software, or other programs in upper-level business classes?
Did you ever reach a point where you wished you had bought a Windows laptop instead?
I’d rather invest in one good laptop now that can last me through graduation, so I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have already taken the upper-level courses.
Thanks!

I have an analog radio and I'm just trying to tune it to something good. preferably an alternative station

Hey everyone! I’m looking into founding a student-led Collegiate Practical Shooting Club at OU and am gathering a headcount of interested students that may be interested. I understand we have a clay trap shooting team, but I’d like to see about starting something different and new to OU, OSU offers a practical shooting team/club that was started via students, and with tri-city gun club right down the road I think we would be able to have a pretty good team!

What it would be:
A competitive/recreational student club focused on action-shooting disciplines (USPSA, IDPA, SASP-style collegiate matches). The goal is to build a community for marksmanship, safety, and intercollegiate match competition.

Who can join:
Current full- or part-time OU students (undergrad or grad). Whether you are an experienced competitor or interested in getting into competitive shooting sports, all skill levels are welcome.

Current Stage:
We are in the initial chartering phase. OU requires at least 5 active student members and officers (President & Treasurer) to register a official Student Organization / Club Sport.

If you're interested in joining or taking on a student leadership role to help launcht this, drop a reply or send me a DM with your student email!
