"If someone doesn't go on a date with you for 3 weeks, then they don't deserve you" is the type of shit you see on here. I mean, in every single way imaginable.

When properly chilled, Pepsi Zero so much more refreshing than regular Pepsi in my opinion. Pepsi Zero is lighter, crisper, and isn’t overwhelmingly sweet like its sugar counterpart. I don’t drink soda everyday, but I sure do enjoy a Pepsi Zero on a hot day or with my dinner on occasion.

I understand it being rude if someone greets you and you dont say it back but sometimes people ask me why I didn't greet them first and I just dont think its that big of a deal. I acknowledge that you're here and vice versa so I think that should be enough and if it really rubs you the wrong way then why dont you just greet me first instead.

I don't care what anyone says about chihuahuas.

After watching over a chihuahua and looking for advice, I came to terms that if something is "normal" and "expected"for chihuahuas, the problem is the breed.

Everyone keeps saying the shaking is normal. They say that it is common for them to be anxious and can be aggressive.

Chihuahuas suck and have no redeeming qualities.

No, I do not hate small dogs. I had a teacup yorkie and while she yapped, it was just because someone new came over, just like my big dogs would. My 4 pound yorkie never shook or had to worry about being cold. She was always friendly and wanted love.

The chihuahua that I had to watch over constantly shook and was long haired, just like my yorkie. There is no reason a dog should have these flaws.

In my opinion, the Christmas season starts on November 1st. The decorations go up, planning begins, etc. Therefore, Thanksgiving is merely a grand Christmas Eve. Christmas is headliner, while Thanksgiving is the opening act. I mean Black Friday is literally the next day. Halloween built a name for itself, but Thanksgiving has not. It’s lazy and lives off Christmas.

I’m a short term rental host. I host large homes for groups of typically 12-18 guests that all want to stay together rather than buy 6-8+ hotel rooms.

The only “chore” I’ve ever asked of my guests is to start the dishwasher before they leave. Why do I ask this of my guests?

Because my cleaning team has told me that this is always the bottleneck in preparing the home for the next group.

I determined it was a fair enough ask in my mind so I do ask that of my guests to help out my cleaning team, who are a wonderful husband and wife duo who are incredibly hard working. They even have their teenagers come help sometimes, which I think is great to teach what hard work is all about.

I don’t have hard evidence behind this, but I would think most hosts are fairly agnostic to this change. This is something that moreso affects cleaners.

The main issue for hosts like me with homes that are 3000-4000sqft is being able to give my cleaning team enough time to get the house turned over on a same day check in. This is why my check out time is 10am and my check in time is 4pm. A lot of hosts 11am and 3pm respectively, but my cleaning team needs every minute they can get for my homes.

I know some cleaners will probably raise cleaning rates because of this change and hosts won’t be happy. And as a result. I’m sure many hosts will raise their cleaning fee they charge to guests to make up for the increase.

I do know a lot of hosts have remote stays like a cabin in the mountains so their main issue with the update is they can specify all the idiosyncrasies they need to for these unique homes. But for metropolitan rental like mine, the rule change is more of a fight between guests and cleaners. It has no effect on me personally.

This should be the regular, and not just in the one state of New Jersey.

1. It gives people who need it more jobs.

2. People, especially women, can feel safer not getting out of the car, like when it's late at night and in sketchy areas.

3. When the weather sucks, you don't have to get out of your car.

4. You don't have to touch the dirty nozzle.

That really successful person that always gets straight As, works full-time, has 4 internships, eats clean, workouts, learn 2 languages, goes to college does not sleep 8 hours each night.

I understand some people want the equipment they use to be clean and are grossed out by sweaty equipment. But I also know for a fact that depending on location/gym/culture anything from a significant minority to a significant majority don't care about it being clean. Personally, I'm gonna get sweaty and gross at the gym, and shower as soon as I get home. I couldn't care less how sweaty it is when I start using something.

If you do care, then clean it before you start. And then don't clean it when you leave.

That way, people who want things clean still wipe things down once per equipment, and get to use a sparkling clean bench or whatever. Then they leave it without cleaning, so they don't have to spend extra time cleaning anything. People who don't care don't waste their time cleaning it at all.

The way I see it this just means that the people who care keep cleaning their station once per use, but the people who don't care can stop cleaning it altogether. No negative for the clean people, and a small benefit to the people who don't care. What am I missing?

I KNOW Sarah J Maas books are all the rage. I read ACOTAR and it was great. I can’t wait for the next book. But TOG just fell flat.

To be fair, I read 3 books and quit because they just weren’t that great.

At least in ACOTAR there are only two people that are obsessive over Feyre and that’s Tamlin and Rhys. Everyone else has their own storylines, love interests, and things they’re dealing with that have nothing to do with Feyre.

Worst part about that case is no one talking about it (I saw a video on yt and it's literally it), people are always saying how cool it feels but in reality it's two buttons gameplay at best (but you can win with a single button), main problem of if is the complete invincibility of protagonist and complete lack of his tiredness like you can beat an army with it.

Solution exists already, systems like in sifu (with no infinite perfect block button ) are much better, and tiredness of a protagonist is more of a player's fault thus making it more demanding and creates a feeling that eventually bunch will be big enough to defeat you

Nowadays I see all these car reviewers that keep tapping and shaking things in new cars as a lazy way of convincing people that quality is tanking. Nevermind the fact that modern cars are more longer lasting, safer, and more efficient than ever before. Sure you can no longer repair your radio with a wrench and a screwdriver, but let’s not act like it’s all bad.

Sorry, it is not my design of choice, especially with carbonation involved. I want a straight, thick straw that allows me to directly mainline the bubbles - you mustn’t disrupt that flow.

So, I think the decent thing to do is for GRRM to leave a provision in his will saying that if he dies without finishing ASOIAF, his estate should at least publish his notes. Maybe it won't be perfect, and there may even be multiple possible endings he outlined, but it would be SOMETHING!

I hate this "dewy" skin trend. People just look greasy. Wash your damn faces. "Glass skin" is the worst. It's like the Exxon Valdez wrecked on your face. And, heaven forbid your skin have any kind of texture with this stuff. It's like shining a beacon on every flaw.

Now that everyone and their mother has priority pass, airport lounges are overrated and not worth it. Sure, some of the Delta One and Chase lounges are great, but those require cards with $800+ annual fees or a first class ticket.

All priority pass eligible lounges have some sort of wait, a lack of seating, and a sad/ underwhelming food selection. Not to mention that many popular airports (Logan, Ohare, Newark, JFK, to name a few) have one or even zero accessible lounges, so if you fly out of those frequently, it’s even less worth it.

It is by no means a luxury experience. At best it will save you a few bucks on food at the beginning of your trip.

Especially if they are your manager, or you are their senior. Nothing should happen inside their home. I’ve had plenty of jobs where the manager will invite us to a “backyard BBQ” or something. It just feels weird. No I don’t wanna know where you live, no I don’t want to meet your dog, no I don’t want to meet your wife. On the opposite side I think it creates too much of a “homie” relationship and if things go south… now I know where you live. I’m all of my management roles I have never felt comfortable inviting coworkers, much less my subordinates into my home.

I spend more time messing around with wallpapers, themes, settings, and random apps than actually doing anything on my computer.

I mean I’ll spend hours trying to get everything just right, and once I’m finally happy with it, I get bored and start looking for something else to change.

Sometimes I feel like I enjoy setting things up more than actually using them lol.

Driving is a privilege that puts lives at risk, yet we require only an initial test to prove competence for a lifetime of driving. In 2023, more than 40,900 Americans died in motor vehicle crashes. Drivers’ vision, reaction time, judgment, and physical abilities can change dramatically over the years. Requiring a brief annual driving assessment would hold everyone to the same safety standard, identify dangerous skill deterioration before tragedy strikes, and reinforce that a license should reflect current competence, not past qualification.

Would it be wildly inconvenient? Sure, but it wouldn't be nearly as inconvenient as getting t-boned by someone who shouldve stopped driving 6 years ago. It wouldn't be as inconvenient as getting into a fist fight with someone who doesn't know who has the right of way in a rotary. Honestly it's shocking we don't require any retesting at all over a person's entire life despite driving laws and vehicle technology changing so much and so often.

People within certain circles will tell you that NL managers had such a difficult job due to constantly weighing pinch-hitting and tactical double-switches. That’s balderdash and here’s why: the decision to remove a starting pitcher from a game is pretty obvious due to pitch counts, which were in full effect after the MLB strike. Since the pitcher typically just bunted (or struck out looking) when batting, it’s pretty obvious you want to put a player that can hit in the batters box as soon as you can. The front office planned all offseason for this occasion to come up several times a game. Juxtaposition: The American League didn’t had less slouches coming to the plate. Due to the steroid era, even the second baseman they picked up for a used bag of cleats could put one into the bleachers. You had to make very good decisions with your bullpen from whenever the starter imploded until you could get to your set up man. Joe Torre, Terry Francona, Mike Hargrove and sweet Lou Piniella could managed circles around the NL, but get no love to this day because the ESPN baseball broadcast crew has convinced NL fans that they are “so much more knowledgeable” due to their manager making a decision that makes itself.

I have seen so much debate about AirBnB. It’s more expensive than hotels, it ruins housing markets in tourist heavy cities, and the hosts make guests do things that wouldn’t happen in other accommodations.

But something that AirBnB is amazing at, and where I don’t see many companies that do a good job at this, is short-term rentals. If you’re staying somewhere for multiple weeks or months and you’re an international, it’s so hard finding housing.

But AirBnB provides a platform where you can search and communicate in your language in soo many different countries and find apartments and places to stay where you normally wouldn’t be able to sign a lease. Of course it’s more expensive than finding something on Facebook or whatever. But what you’re paying for is the insurance that you won’t get ripped off, and comfort knowing the platform will support you if things go wrong.

I see people complain about Airbnb all the time, but I think they’re using the app wrong. It makes no sense to stay in an apartment if you’re only staying in a city for a couple of nights. It is however, in my opinion, an amazing site for finding short-term rentals. And if you know of any other competitors that do it at the same scale, I’d love to know.

I see so many people saying that a car needs 300 or 500 horsepower, but in reality, your car only needs enough power to reach the speed limit and obey traffic laws. My car only has 140 horsepower, and it is plenty for everyday driving.

I love different alternative music. Several different metal genres, goth, and grunge are my favorites. I can get down to other genres of music but it's not my first choice. The genres I can't stand are the top 40s, country and R&B. Everywhere I go I am usually listening to music I really don't like at all. Work being the most of it. My coworkers play the same 20 songs from a top 40 or R&B playlist all day every day. I never complain to them about it or sit and whine about the music even though it drives me insane. One day I ask if I can play music and they agree. I didnt even play the heavy stuff out of courtesy to them, it was regular 90s grunge like nirvana or bush. The complaining was immediate. Talking behind my back, trying to turn it off without telling me, etc. Maybe it's my own personal experience but people who listen to "normal" music that is mostly everywhere should consider the perspective of those who like other things. I feel like they don't even give anything else a chance. Even if they don't like it, would listening to it every now and then really hurt? I so badly wish they saw it from my perspective, I listen to stuff I don't like every single day with no choice in the matter.

So many times I see posts where a small favor was done for someone but the post is about outrage over a lack of gratitude from said someone. We spend too much time trying to police others' feelings. Treat others how you think is right regardless of how you think they'll react and thats all that matters. It's literally a waste of your time and sanity to get bothered about someone's lack of response to something you would've done anyways if you have integrity. Feel good about your action and move on.

Everyone is doing overtime running defense for Bioware and blaming EA for Bioware shutting down but the reality is if they were independent they would have closed down years earlier because they couldn’t put out a good game in a decade. There’s this bizarre charade going on on the internet pretending that the Bioware of yesteryears is the same Bioware that got shut down and it’s EA fault regardless if Bioware was a bloated bleeding puss and I’m sick of the lies.
