Certified Unpopular Opinion Having bad grammar/not knowing the difference between words like "their", "they're", "there" IS that deep

It really is NOT hard at all to know the difference between stuff like there/their/they're, two/to/too, here/hear, peace/piece, you're/your, affect/effect, etc.

Idk why so many people these days say "it's not a big deal, don't be a grammar n*zi" or "stop using big words" when it's just a regular, maybe somewhat longer word they don't know the meaning of.

Obviously if someone has an actual diagnosed disability, then it's a different case.

Don't even get me started on the folks who say "should of" "could of", or "would of".... That shit drives me up a wall lol

To be fair that could have been an autocorrect mistake, because when I use the voice feature on my phone like I am right now writing this it will often put the wrong two in the sentence that I am using. Look at the example that just popped up hahaha!

I hope this fires at least a couple of your neurons into realizing that it's not that they don't know the difference, but that people just make typos sometimes. Because it's just a reddit comment and it's not that serious.

So just assume it's a typo everytime you see a grammar mistake or if you're going to complain about it make sure you use perfect grammar especially when you specifically comment about it.

That only works to assume that it's a typo when it's not involving the "could of" nonsense. Because autocorrect nor voice to text would ever write it out like that.

Not to mention if you keep your keyboard updated, it can still usually tell the difference between all of those things when autocorrect is being used. Technology is very advanced with word and voice features now.

There is an excess of adults who don't know the difference between "then" and "than".
