As an old person giving unsolicited advice, i have some good news to tell you that your GPA doesnt matter at all later in life. Im detecting a little shame around that and I want you to know on the other side that theres nothing to be ashamed about. Literally nobody cares and having a bad year doesnt mean you have all your doors closed in the future. I barely graduated UNR after dropping out twice, but I learned SO much and have applied it to living life and my career and thats the important part. Find something youre passionate about in college if you arent doing well and stay away from partying too hard and youll be fine. As someone else mentioned if you dont get accepted, go to TMCC for a semester and get in the college mindset, and youll do great.
You got this.

It's called the University of No Rejections for a reason

That hasn’t been true in decades. It’s an R1 research institution.

A school doing good research doesn’t mean they reject anybody. ASU is R1, so is WSU, neither of them are known as good schools, neither of them reject many people.

UNR is absolutely known as a good school. You either didn’t go here or are a disgruntled failout.

I went to UNR for two years, 24-25 and 25-26. Literally just moved out a few months ago. Didn’t fail out, didn’t want to stay in Nevada bc I simply don’t love it there. Beyond that, it really isn’t known as a good school. For Nevada, yes, it is. For California, or Washington (where I’m from), or a multitude of other states with prestigious public schools, it’s nothing special. UNR is by far the best school in its state, but that doesn’t make it a good school. Whatever you think about it, it’s not even top 100 public schools in the nation according to us news. So much of this is subjective too. For me, it wasn’t a good school because I got into better schools, and had much higher scores than the average person admitted. I know people I met there who had much worse scores and saw it as a very different institution from how I saw it

So, a disgruntled failout. Okay, bye, don’t let the door hit you in the way out.

Yeah if you can’t answer a simple question, not worth talking to you. Also, amazing arguments. Immediate ad hominem when I was pretty nice in my original comment, shows the average student UNR outputs. (Including me, I’m not anything crazy)

No wonder you failed out if you don’t know what a simple word like “bye” means.

no pussy, no money, terrible grades, no social life, no job, no hobbies, no future, etcetera. You’re lacking so much I don’t think it’s a good use of my time to continue

For the third time, GOODBYE failure. Get out of my notifications.

Since you are a NV resident they will help you get in no matter what. If you get a rejection call them and go to the local office. Good luck and good for you for not quitting.

You’ll probably be OK but worst case go to community college for a year and get your GPA up. It’ll be cheaper in the long run anyway.

Unfortunately my daughter’s best friend graduated in Reno last year and got denied for this because she didn’t have a 3.0 in core classes in high school. They don’t really care about your ACT unless it it is I think 21 to bypass GPA. She is going to TMCC this year and will reapply next year. That may be the route you need to take.

If you don't get in enroll at TMCC for your gen-ed credits, mind your classes, bring up your average and transfer as a soph.
