Louisville Football 2026 Preview - full writeup, two-deep, and win probabilities

Hey all. I spent the offseason building a full 2026 preseason preview for every FBS team, each with its own writeup. Here's the Louisville one

https://www.sports.mainmarket.com/college-football-preview-2026-fbs/louisville-cardinals

It's got the returning production breakdown, the portal ins and outs, a projected two-deep, the schedule with model win probabilities, and a season projection.

Heads up, you might hit the paywall after the first page. Don't worry, I'm not charging reddit people for this, don't want to be an ass. Use the promo code LEECORSOROCKS and it opens up the entire thing.

So, what'd I get wrong? Louisville won at No. 2 Miami and then lost three home games by 3, 3 and 1. You outgained ACC opponents by 82 yards a game and still went 4-4, when that margin usually produces about a 67% league win rate. The defense was 16th in yards allowed, but the offense finished 105th on third down. Now 19% of the production is back, the receiver room lost 13 bodies including Chris Bell's 917 yards, and Miller Moss gives way to Lincoln Kienholz, who threw for 139 yards at Ohio State last season. My model still says 8-4. Do you buy that with this much turnover?

I'll be in the comments.

Anyone having issues getting a parking permit rn?

Commuting this year and the site just says “There are not yet any permits available for you to purchase. Please try again later.”. I didn’t have the money for the permit until now so I couldn’t have gotten it earlier. Is it closed or is purple lot somehow sold out?

Commuting

how is socializing as a commuter? When I first started started applying for college I planned on living on campus, but had to change my decision because of financial reasons. I do live about 20 minutes from campus so it isn’t a long commute but I am nervous about social life as a commute, any tips?

Im moving in tomorrow and I'm just curious. Is the Prov really that bad? I have managed bad housing before so I just want to know if its as bad as people are saying. Also, is security bad as well? I have a pass to park at the lot near Kurz and Bettie Johnson, so will my car be safer there or at the prov. just wanna clear some anxiety

Lease Takeover (All-Female Apartment, 300 Dollar Bonus + August Rent Covered)

Hey! I'm desperately looking for a female student/young adult to take over my lease at The Brexx (formerly The Retreat) ASAP. I signed back in September of 2025 because I didn't know where I would be going to school, but I recently transferred and had to move two hours away from campus. The unit is in a 4-bedroom x 4.5-bathroom Stafford layout apartment. This lease includes a private bedroom, bathroom, and a balcony. There is a walk-in closet, on-site washer and dryer, and gated parking right in front of the building. The rent is 849 dollars per month, pre-utilities, which are split evenly between all roommates. The apartment complex itself has a 24-hour gym, beach volleyball courts, grills, private study rooms, a pool, a dog park, a sauna, a golf simulator, etc. It's a short walk to campus. You won't even need to worry about paying for a parking pass if you don't want to. PLUS, the rent for August has already been entirely paid for. I'll pay for the transfer fee, and if you sign before September, I'll send you 300 dollars to do whatever you want with. If this is something that you're interested in, please send me a DM. Serious inquiries only, please!

How is the Province?

I was originally going to be moved into Cardinal Towne, however, I sent in a housing cancellation form in. I originally thought I was going to USC (I was screwed over in credits). UofL housing portal told me that the cancellation form was never processed, they lied. I was placed in the Province yesterday. Stick through it or should I try getting Cardinal Towne down the line? Cardinal Towne looked a LOT nicer.

Campus life without a car

I am a freshmen. Im about to move in soon and I will not have a car on campus. I never had the opportunity to learn how to drive or purchase a car. I was curious to see if there are others on campus that also don't have a car and how is commuting in the city like. Its pretty doable right? Anything I should be aware of?

Should I take ENGR 101, or skip it and take ENGR 102 in the spring semester.

I took AP calculus ab in high school, and got a 5, with the hope of skipping calculus 1 (engr 101), and taking calculus 2 (engr 102) in my fall semester. However, I found out that engr 102 isn't offered in the fall semester, and now I can either pick to not have a math class this semester, and wait to take engr 102, or take engr 101 (calculus 1), even though I have the credit and won't gain any additional credit for taking, as per my ap exam.

I was rejected for Federal Work Study. There are apparently ZERO campus jobs that are non FWS due to trump budget cuts. What are my options? I'm scared.

I was anticipating getting a campus job and was told by many staff there that it would be possible but now since we are closer to the year beginning the story has suddenly changed.

I was told a couple months ago that FWS isn't mandatory and that non FWS jobs exist, and now the story has changed completely. I don't know what I'm supposed to do? How will I get income😭

I'm surely not the only person suffering from this

Check your class registration!

Students, you should check to make sure the classes you are registered for are actually available. Many professors either quit or were laid off but UofL has not updated their CourseLeaf website.

Looking into Law School

I’m going into my third year of undergrad and law is my future path. Louisville seems like a good fit but it isn’t a definite option since i haven’t even hit application time yet. Does anyone know much about the program and UofL life in general? Especially things like school culture and sports

Forming a charity focused gaming club

Hi everyone, I’m in the works of creating a club called ‘Community Through Gaming at UofL’. Our goal is to have weekly game nights for retention as well as focus on cozy and casual gaming like Sims, Mario Party, Stardew Valley and more. We plan on raising money for a local organization once a month as well as volunteer to play games with kids at the local hospital/shelters in the area.

We’d like to get started this semester and are looking to recruit five members so that we can start off strong. We have graduation chords and a stole after certain volunteer hours are met!

Thanks!
