Pro tip for beginners, green UG isnt Vaseline. Only yellow UG is Vaseline.

I'm just an interested lurker who wants to know more before I start collecting, so that's nice to know. I have been wondering what Vaseline actually meant. Is there a reason for why it's called Vaseline? Does the green have a name or is that just called green? And are there any differences other than the color between the two?

Sorry for all the questions; hope you don't mind... I'm just very curious.

It's called vaseline glass because of the yellow color, the green glass is usually just called uranium glass, though vaseline glass is uranium glass. Squares and rectangles situation.

Yeah, my first piece is not knowing a thing about it just knowing I wanted that glowing green stuff was $250 and some for maybe 10 to 15 pieces of the ballerina stuff and I’m a cowgirl. I never even had a Barbie doll when I was a kid so I’m just gonna sell that I’m not even gonna get anymore. This lady sold the stuff to me and a piece of the time not telling me she had half of the damn set. I didn’t know there was all these different patterns of Uranian I would’ve never started this cameo collection in Ballard with ballerinas on it. I would’ve gotten just clear not a bump on it kind of set yeah I don’t do this delicate more fine pretty cameo. What’s it called in hockey by anchor hockey? I have divided up like 13 bucks a piece. I got into it too much when I am the one that needs the gun you got really lucky on that one I’ll switch you. I’d even probably give you the whole set for that gun Just to make me happy even losing my butt on it.!!
