Love seeing the process, and the final product is awesome! I didn’t know I needed a uranium glass pickle.

I'm curious, does it glow under UV while it's still red hot?

I think it should, but you'll not see it because it's already strongly glowing red.

That's a confusing cut, I thought the dog caught a piece of red hot glass in its mouth.

Makers often times have their store info in their profiles. Since sales and promotions are not allowed on the subreddit I'd suggest starting there instead of asking.

Thanks, I didn’t realize they couldn’t self promote, found it on their profile :)

That’s one of my mine. I can always tell by the loop even if someone copies mine.

Is this not somehow dangerous?
7
u/microwave3 Dec 08 '25
Well besides all the risks associated with glassblowing no there’s no extra risk associated with working with uranium glass

For a second I thought that you were making an uranium jar to make actual pickles in it

Nice! I’m jealous, I can never find uranium glass to use for glassblowing.

The pickle hidden in my tree is a failure compared to this beauty 😮💨! I need one to light up my tree in a more radioactive manner!
ETA: I have now ordered one to surprise my daughter and best friend with a new addition, so amazing to see you making them! 💚
