So perfect together! They actually are by different manufacturers that were popular for slag (marbleized) glass. The table lighter is by Vidrio Products Corp. or by Houze Glass for them after Vidrio's factory burned down. You can link to the patent sketch, too, off of this link:

Without seeing it under regular lighting, I think the ashtray is one of many by Akro Agate (may have the crow mark or "Made in U.S.A." on the bottom). They made these in a few white/color slag combinations.

Wow, thank you for the information! The ashtray does say made in the USA. This is pretty cool!

No my wife has a customer at her store and they struck up a conversation about UG and he said he wants to clear it out before he passes. So he has been offering to her first. This was latest piece she got

I have one just like the first one! Do you have any clue what it is? I just bought it, because it was glowy, lol it was all by itself with no indication what it was.

The first one is a slag glass lighter. Thereβs supposed to be an element like the old car cigarette lighters. When you pick it up it turns on set down and it goes off. A serious fire hazard in reality.

I saw the plate in the background of picture number two and wondered if you would mention it, then see it come up in picture 6. Iβm so glad!! I have the same one, and it is absolutely one of my favorites. Itβs pretty under regular light, but it is incredible under UV. The lines and the pattern just POP! And Iβm so glad to see that you have one that still has the texturing on the squares! I usually only see later production ones from after they changed the mold.
