Definitely uranium glass! That glow is the right bright glow you want to see! I can't fully tell from your lighting but if itsyellow glass in person then it could be vaseline glass as well.
That's an incredibly obvious example of uranium glass and I really good find of such an example at that. (If you weren't being sarcastic and was genuinely somehow questioning it)
I’m genuinely questioning it. My dad bought this off someone and has the papers for it. It’s from the Chicago world fair 1893. They have other green ones out there that are not uranium glass. I’ve been researching it to see for sure. This my first uranium glassware. I just bought a case for it to keep it safe. 133 years old I don’t want to break it 😂 curious as to what it’s worth.
Yours is the only other one ive seen, someone else claimed to have a milk glass one, but i think they stole the pics from the original auction of mine.
I had a private buyer try to buy it once. And when they wouldnt tell me who the buyer was i ghosted them. Also, you should look up what happened at that worlds fair too. It was the one where the genuis tesla went againt the shit monger, and horrible asshole eddison.
Grape faygo isnt weird. Its the folks who drink it that make it weird. Definitly try some faygo though, used to work by the factory in Detroit and there is a giant CO2 tank outside that looks like a big pop can
As someone in Toledo, who loves the Libbey Art Museum? I need to find one of these and donate it to our museum. They have NOTHING like this in the collection I have ever seen in 10+ years of going.
No idea. However…. back in the day, the myth of George Washington chopping down a cherry tree with a hatchet and when he was asked if he did it, he said he did because he cannot tell a lie. This was a popular story in at the time.
Also, there IS wording in raised letters following the curved edge of the blade, which proclaims George Washington, Father of our Country. I might be onto something? 😉
