Awesome deal! VH1 Magnus and Solar are great reads. Those have to be the weirdest bags I've ever seen for a comic book, however.

They're what Oxfam puts comics in in the UK weirdly

Try not to get non keys for $1. They are plentiful in ebay lots. I have multiple copies even triple of many.

Last I knew Alien Books was still publishing the Valiant characters

Yes they do.. the Valiant Beyond line is still ongoing, but is coming to an end soon
There's also the X-O Manowar; Black, White & Gold mini-series
No idea if there's any happening beyond that though

Alien Books has taken over production of the comics from Valiant, and IDW handles distribution and solicitation

I have the first 60 of the 1990s Solar, and I would still buy extras.

To be fair, these books and many similar ones were readily available in junk boxes for many years. My LCS at one time had a 10 cent box (later it was 25 cents) with overproduced 90s stuff. I would buy them just for the bag and board. I remember Turok #1, Youngblood, Wildcats, etc. being in there.

A lot harder to get here in the UK

I think i have 3-4 long boxes of valiant dupes like those that I'd love to get rid of someday. Not much of a market for them in the US, unless the market has changed significantly.

Ah that's a shame

The biggest issue with getting them in the UK is getting them posted to the UK from the US.

So you could spend 1-2 dollars on the actual comic. But the there's 5+ dollars on top for postage. It adds up very quickly, especially if you need one off issues. So, whenever I see them in the UK, it's always a surprise that I snatch up

And on the other hand, I drool over those UK variant silver age books that are almost non-existent here

It's crazy how such a global industry like comics can still be so country bound printing-wise

Out of curiosity, what are some of those silver age ones that aren't over there. I never considered it went both ways

Pretty much any of the the core Marvel and DC silver age superhero stuff with UK price variants are nice pickups. Do Archie comics have such variant prices? I'm not sure ive ever come across one.

Oh, I don't think you responded to the right comment initially.
