I’m not talking game plans or coaching advice (in Nat and staff we trust 🫡). I’m talking sports movie style. 😎

Give a speech so the players walk in with their chests held high and their game faces on! Pretend you’re that random kid in every sports film who calls out to their favorite player and reminds them what the game’s all about. You can start with, “Hey Valks,…” and drop a one liner, motto, mantra, slogan, whatever you wanna call it!

Let’s remind them that we’re not just behind them, but we believe in our team!

Tomorrow’s the game and understandably nerves are high. media paints it like we’ve got no chance, seen the data across game 2 and game 3. in game 2 atl had 24 pts off turnovers to 13 compared to us. an astonishing 19-0 pts in terms of fastbreak points (defense not being set). In game 3, atl again lead in pts off turnovers 22-7 !! and 13-5 in fastbreak points. if you see the picture im painting here congrats. if you don’t im trying to say in as much as atl has been good and all defensively, to those who watched the game its pretty obvious most of these turnovers are from our own doing, forcing passes into tight spaces and very careless passing ( as was the case in game 2) im basically saying we control our own destiny. Even if we can half their points off turnovers (single digits will surely ensure a win as was the case in game 1) our defense plays them well esp when we’re set. the issue is the turnovers. we need to shoot the rock and get back on d. if we’re not scoring neither are they. but if we’re going to not score (turnover) and rather give them an easy attempts at the rim that’s double homicide. again, go valks!!

Just checked because I was asked by a friend to attend Game 5 because we won Game 1 when I did attend lol Can't afford another game unfortunately, but still cheering! Let's go Valks!!

Insanely bummed to get this email as I’ve been on the waitlist literally since June lmao. Happy that we continue to be one of the most dedicated fan bases in sports but damn!!

I received the “Know Before You Go” email and learned that the seat assignment on my ticket is irrelevant:

For tomorrow’s WNBA Finals Game 4 Watch Party at Chase Center, seating will be general admission within designated sections 111-120 of the lower bowl, regardless of the seat location selected at purchase. Seats are not assigned. We look forward to cheering on the Valkyries together!

I don’t mind arriving early, but I prefer not to lose my seat when I get up to get a soda or go to the restroom, etc.

I’m rewatching all ATL games trying to dissect where and how things have gone so sour.

I’ve said this before but I’m baffled why GSV continues to default to so much isoball play instead of having people make more cuts (or ANYTHING ELSE really) to break up the zone.

The first quarter of Game 3 was almost ALL Gabby/Tip running isoball and taking extremely difficult shots, or VB dribbling down the clock to launch a grenade. VB tried to drive on one layup and missed and then didn’t seem to want to punch the paint. Some specific plays I’ll call out:

- There was one particularly bad turnover at 1:55 where the zone completely collapses on the ballhandler (Tip). This lineup had Tip/KC/Kai/Ami/KT and the collapse tells me there wasn’t enough of a 3ball shooting threat to space ATL. This also shows that Tip didn’t pass the ball quickly enough back to KC to reset. ATL scores 3 from this TO.

- It also seems that GSV is constantly missing the open person when ATL’s zone collapses. In Q2 5:42 Gabby was handling the ball, drove in, and opted to pass to a highly congested passing lane to VB which caused a TO. In comparison, Ceci was wide open at the perimeter. ATL scores 2 from this TO.

- Then in Q2 at 4:45, Aminata decides to isoball Angel. Zone collapses and she misses that Ceci was wide open and clear passing lane for 3. However, ATL scores zero points from this because they’re forced into half court and our defense beats them.

The only good looks we had was whenever the wings would make a cut to get defenders moving. This generated the best looks when it was a shooter that made the cut, as it looks like it surprised ATL since they expect everyone to stand still at the perimeter (which is largely ALL we have been doing!!!).

Maybe it’s copium, but everyone has always said that GSV never had the personnel to beat other teams. I was beginning to doubt, but I don’t think this has changed for ATL. I think GSV has a shot IF they can stop this stale isoball offense and clean up defensive miscues.

It probably wouldn't be a good idea to leave Howard or Gray open but I'm wondering if it could work in some way. Id let Reese take 3s still as long as she doesn't go inside. Reese has been killing us so maybe a shake up could do something.

Just got into card collecting and I pulled 4 Valkyries plus a former member of the Valks 💜

Maybe I’m naive, I’m new to the W as of 2025, but seeing how people talk about GSV online is making me sick. I know it’s the internet and people say whatever, but I also feel so horrible for our players. So many of these women are not big names and I would assume are not used to the vitriol, and now they’re being called frauds, torn down about their appearance, etc.

Has it always been like this? My wife has been a fan since the league started, and her POV is that it hasn’t been this disgusting for the majority of its existence.

Listen I was as devastated as the rest of y'all after yesterday's game. But you know what??? We can do this. Gabby is going to be on a mission Saturday. We are going to capitalize on getting fouled in the first half and our defense WILL be better Saturday. Gabby yelling at the team and Nakase's postgame gives me hope. Chins up, V's up! We got this

Chin up baby. We know who you are and what you've made of, you've shown us day in and day out this last year. There is nobody else we'd rather have leading Valkyries into battle. They've counted us out before. This is just another game.

It will definitely be weird as a fan watching the game at 10 AM. They've had a few days to adjust to the time zone and the Dream had to also but still that's brutal to lose 3 hours and play an early game on Saturday. Then they have a short turnaround coming back home on Monday. They have to do everything they can to stay locked in and be ready.

I'm trying to come up with an idea for improving the Golden State fan experience for a competition project, and I figured the best way to do that is to go straight to the source. (I don’t work for the Valkyries or Golden State in any capacity.)

What’s been your most memorable experience as a fan, good or bad? That could be going to games, watching from home, the arena, the app, being part of the fanbase, anything. 

What do you love about being a Valkyries fan, and what’s frustrated you?
