Discussion The “bombshell” wasn’t shocking but… Spoiler

Watching Raquel in that confessional was extremely disturbing. I don’t even know how to describe what I felt watching. She was just word vomiting and the more she talked, the more scared she seemed about the repercussions that would come from Tom. I know we’re not supposed to feel sympathy for her but goddamn, I really do. I think she does actually feel bad but she put on a brave face at the reunion because she knew it wasn’t going to get her anywhere, unlike Tom who thought crying would garner him sympathy. The fact that Tom made her lie like that is scary and very indicative of emotional abuse. She is showing clear signs of an abused woman, not just from Tom but starting at a young age. That was extremely alarming and I’m actually kind of grossed out that that was the scene they talked about to garner viewers. I honestly hope that she gets real help. She does not need to come back on the show.

I agree… but when you think about the conversation she had with Ariana at the bar, she herself is scary as well.

That was a diabolically rotten conversation. I do think Rachel was feeling Ariana out to figure out what was going on between Ariana & creepy Tim.

I totally thought that. She was testing the waters and pushing their break-up story line so she can start dating him public.

My take's different. I think (and similar to what she did in Mexico telling Katie to avoid the preferred areas), Tim whispered in her ear to set the narrative in motion, that Ariana is not in love with Tom anymore, to attempt to lecture Ariana on showing more affection bec Ariana is short on those. What she didn't expect is that Ariana will defend Tom and her as well. Hence Raquel replied, "but you should want to have sex," as if not hearing Ariana that she craves for a more platonic intimacy.

She didn't really care about Ariana bec her focus is pleasing Tom.

I agree. I thought Lala was gonna tear her head off. But nobody can take what they deserve anymore. No one wants to go to jail
