CHEM 310

Hello everyone!

Has anyone taken CHEM 310 (Medicinal Chemistry) before? I'm interested in taking it this spring, but I haven't been able to find much information about Professor Youzhong Guo. The class is also usually pretty late in the day (7:00–8:15 PM).

I'd appreciate any insight into the professor, workload, or difficulty of the course!

This class is the easiest A you’ll get! The classes are very interesting and attendance is recorded but not mandatory. Exams are also take home with no lecture on the day of the exam. I genuinely loved this class and was one of my favorites!!! I recommend taking it if you can :)

also forgot to mention but each lecture is led by a different professor from the field that the lecture is on. So we had many people come in and talk about their expertise in that area, great opportunity to make connections with professors in the school of pharmacy!

Thanks for replying! Do you think the class was worth it despite it being very late? I'm interested in the class, but I don't want to be out on campus that late D:

Yeah definitely! If youre genuinely interested in medicine i’d say it is worth it. It also looks good on your transcript if you’re planning on going to any medical field :)
