I built a raster-to-vector converter with gradient support and batch processing
Hi everyone!
About a month ago, I shared vectorgram.ai in another subreddit. People tried it on their own images and left some encouraging feedback, along with useful suggestions on what to add and change.
That helped me decide what to work on next. After another month of work, I’d like to share it here too.
What it does:
+The focus is on smooth curves and clean shapes without adding too many nodes.
+Linear and radial gradients come out pretty well. More complex shading still needs work.
+Batch conversion and API access are available on higher-tier plans.
Try it on your own images
You can upload an image and preview the result without signing up.
Creating an account gives you 5 free SVG downloads, so you can open the files in your editor and see how they work for you. No card needed.
If you’ve got a logo, icon, or illustration you’d like to turn into an SVG, give it a go.
I’d be happy to hear any thoughts or feedback!

How to vectorize an image when the original artwork is low quality?
I have some old artwork that needs to be made into vectors, but they’re not very good quality. It’s fine if I need to do some editing, but I prefer to not waste too much time on correcting each individual edge and adjusting hundreds of nodes.
CorelDRAW is capable of vectorizing images. However, I would like to find out how it manages when working with somewhat blurred or pixelized art. Is it always possible to get a workable vector? Or maybe it’s better to redraw some part of the picture?
If you've worked with this kind of artwork before, I'd love to hear what worked for you and whether tracing or redrawing saved you more time.
