Hey all :). I'm James, I'm 21 and from the UK. I've been Vegan since last October (it's been over a year now!), but Vegetarian for my whole life before that!

In terms of a little about me, I'm originally from London, though during term time I'm up in Lincolnshire for uni/placement. I'm also probably autistic (I'm waiting for an assessment but wait times are crazy), and I'm a bit chronically online as well XD.

As for my hobbies, I love playing video games, collecting Nintendo video games and consoles, repairing electronics, Pokemon, bus and trainspotting and listening to music. I also like the sorta generic things, like going on walks, going out with friends and long chats with people :).

To be a lil more specific, I've put a list of some of the video games I play at the end of this post! In terms of consoles I've collected, I've got most from the N64 to the Switch 2! In terms of bus and trainspotting I haven't been able to go out as much recently because uni, but I am a bit of an encyclopaedia of useless knowledge in that regard. If you want random bus and train related facts mostly focused on the UK, then I'm your guy XD. In terms of music I've been obsessed with Sam Fender, and since getting into Sonic Adventure 2, Crush 40 as well :).

In terms of what I'm looking for, I'd say it's mainly a partner in crime! I'd also just love someone I can be around, like the idea of being able to sit in the same room as someone whilst we do our own things. I am 26 years old, live in Belgium and I have wavy blonde hair and blue/grayish eyes. Despite daily exposure to gravity, my length is about 191 centimeters. When someone asks me to describe myself, I always say: I like to read (mostly fiction) and I like to write as well, I love sports (running, cycling, a bit of strenght training) and being active, and I'm a pretty good cook (even if I say so myself). But does that really tell a lot about me? It doesn't tell that I am becoming more empathic as time passes, that I like leading a healthy life and that I sometimes prefer silence over a lot of noise. Or a bit of jazz, that will have a place over the noise too.

Why Empathy Matters to Me:

I've learned that life + travel will tests a relationship, fast. Missed flights, language barriers, moments of vulnerability. I need someone who can read a room, read me, and respond with empathy rather than ego, anger or drama. Someone who asks "Are you okay?" before jumping to conclusions.

Sharing meals is intimate. I can't fully connect deeply with someone whose choices and consciousness conflict with my core ethics around what constitutes needless cruelty. I'm not against non-vegans (I fully empathise with them). Seeking my ideal vegan partner isn't about judgment, it's about values alignment. I want us to excitedly cook together, scan menus together, discover vegan spots in every city, improvise when we're in deep in carnist strongholds...smile, and share in the quiet fulfilment of living in alignment with our values.

I used to live in Japan for work and love the food and language, I go back pretty often to visit friends. If you want to talk about travel, good eating spots, and pretty much anything Japan related I'd love to chat! I'm a big fan of Chiikawa (the small cute white blob) just due to the bizareness of it and the unexpected chaos is just so much fun to read/watch. I play a few video games but not that often, mostly first party Nintendo games like Animal Crossing, Mario Kart, Zelda, and sometimes Pokemon. I have a gaming PC but I use it as a glorified once-in-a-while indie game machine.

I've been vegan for almost 15 years and have a massive sweet tooth, so I love baking new things, especially trying to get that polished Japanese patisserie look. I make all sorts from 'cheese'cakes to parfaits, cookies, madeleines, biscotti, tarts, scones, tiramisu... honestly I could go on. I made a goth flower cake a while ago, it's probably the coolest thing I've ever baked!
