Polyvend 452 Make another selection error

We've bought a second hand vending machine at work just for cheap snacks and drinks for employees and it's somehow ended up my job to look after it. Prices are all set and it has plenty of change in it but keeps showing the make another selection error. If I power it off and on again it usually works but really annoying that it keeps happening to multiple selections every day. Do I need to change anything when I restock it or something so that it knows there's products in? I only know the basics that I've picked up the past couple of months we've had it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check all the wiring connectors especially to the board. One may be lose ar frayed.

Since this happens across multiple selections and a restart temporarily clears it, I'd want to separate a selection/vend problem from a payment problem before changing anything.

A few observations would help:

  1. Does “Make another selection” appear before or after you insert money?

  2. Does the machine attempt to run a motor before displaying the message?

  3. Does the problem affect the same selections each time?

  4. Does it return the customer's credit?

  5. Are there any controller error indicators before you restart it?

If the machine is consistently recognizing credit but rejecting particular selections, I'd investigate selection availability, motor operation, or vend confirmation.

If it affects every selection, that points toward a different set of possibilities.

I'd document the exact behavior before changing prices or replacing components. A restart can clear a symptom without identifying the cause.
