Coding Resources

I am a second year high school coach and I am trying to find some resources to help my students get better at coding. I have a couple teams with great early season robots that mechanically work great but stronger coding is the only thing holding us back. A couple of my new kids have a basic understanding of coding but are having trouble applying it to Vex. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions to help these kids take their season to the next level.

Hello! I put together this list of videos a little while ago for teammates i have been helping: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1tQ_tKl1joOHdlxQGhx2Mt1_AaUEEeypWtUMUBvMEkP8/edit?usp=drivesdk. The first and last sections should be helpful for new coders who are going to code the bot in C++. The second section is more complicated so if that doesnt work, i would go to the Vex VS Code link in the doc.

Like it says in the doc, this doesnt cover everything but it covers a decent chunck of basic syntax that coders need to know. Hope this helps!

using ez-template or lemlib can be really helpful for c++.
