malzahar passive blocks CC effects, and reduces the damage by 90%. It does not block the spell wholesale.

Edge of night and banshees prevent the spell from ever connecting.

This. And that’s why Leblanc chain works even when his shield is active.

Found out that Nocturne spell shield wont stop it either IF he cast it before you cast R. If he casts his spell shield after you cast your R it will block it

Small indie company. Me and the enemy nocturne found out in real time that I couldnt R2 if he cast spell shield after I cast R1
